Outfit of the Week: Dusk to Summer

For me, summer ends when school begins. And school started last week and Monday (!!!) in Atlanta. When I was in school, I longed to live up North where school after/around Labor Day. So in the following weeks (or months if you live here) the air will get a little cooler as we slowly ease into fall (my fave season). This is one of those end-of-summer outfits, where you can show off your shoulders before the tan fades away. It's an outfit that  shows off some classic neutrals and an outfit that has those beachy waves for the last time.

  • A cute top is easy breezy.
  • I love this seahorse necklace. It reminds me of summer without being tacky.
  • A wrist full of bangles never hurt anyone! The gold and black are repeated elsewhere.
  • Some cute skinny jeans show those summer curves.
  • A shimmery gold and pink lip gloss is perfect.
  • A little something to create beachy waves.
  • Sexy sandals, since summer hasn't ended just yet!
  • Neutral eyeshadows create a smokey eye, perfect for dusk and beyond.

    I am convinced I need a seahorse necklace!! I forgot how early you guys go back to school down there. My friend in Kennesaw's daughter started kindergarden last week. Do you get out of school earlier as well?

    I love this outfit. A more sophisticated version of jeans and a t-shirt is always welcome, especially with accents like the arm full of bangles and the seahorse necklace.

    Also, thank you for your comment! I find it very refreshing when people in the workplace make an effort to be green. I know it's not very common...I've actually had someone laugh at me once, when I asked about a recycling bin.

    I cant' believe you guys begin school so early! (here in Spain it starts at the end of September). Maybe you finish it earlier?
