- A peacoat is hands-down my Winter Wardrobe Essential. I tend to almost always buy black, but there are beautiful colors and prints for those who really wanna mix it up.
- I love a dash of animal print here and there. My leopard scarf gave me some color.
- To keep the winter frizzies down, I love the Living Proof line. It keeps my hair frizz-free and smooth. I wore my hair in a low ponytail.
- When I need a durable, tough boot, these have never let me down and I've taken them all over the world.
- EVERYONE who knew I ordered these slip-on spikes laughed. When would I ever use these? You live in the South! Well, I was the only one who didn't slip and fall (I'm rather clumsy) during this ice-capade. Who's laughing now? Not exactly glamorous or a beauty item, but they sure do work and you can put 'em on any shoes.
What's your go-to winter outfit?
Thanks for your sweet comment. I'm a new follower now. Love the feature on Molly of Leaving the House in this?
ReplyDeleteWe're never ready for that kind of weather in the South - so rare that it happens and its a problem! From what I read about Blue Valentine it doesnt sound like one id enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMy winter outfit would be a chunky cardigan + a cute beret. I had a look at the slip on spikes, look funny but Im sure they would stop you from slipping on the ice and snow! xx

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this ensemble, I wish I had winter here, but since I live in the tropics, I can only dream of fur (faux of course) and yummy woolen sweaters, a girl can dream right? ;)
Btw, I take acupuncture to help me manage my stress and depression, and it has helped me tremendously, hope this helps :)
XOXO

All my friends up in Atlanta had a dose of cabin fever and we're ready to get out of the house! I bet everyone wished they had the slip-on-spikes after all that snow! :)

ReplyDeleteGreat outfit:)
I hardly take my winter boots off for the winter, so I tried to buy "fashionable" ones a few years ago :) They do the trick!
ReplyDeleteA nice wollen hat, fake fur coat, blue jeans and clog boots. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a perfect outfit for a snowy day...Love that jacket..Its beautiful:) Have a cozy day, sweetie

My go-to winter outfit: Bomber jacket, skinny jeans, fabulous boots, and basic camis. You don't need much to stay warm in SoCal during the winter! :P
ReplyDeleteLoving the outfit inspiration. Looks absolutely gorgeous and very chic for the snow!

I love that peacoat and the leopard scarf as well! Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteGreat ensemble, very chic!
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I'm over my snow boots--yours are by far way cooler looking than mine...they're tough and rugged, and the slip on spikes make them practical obviously. Plus, who doesn't love a leopard print scarf, heck I love anything leopard print! Glad to hear you survived the freak Atlanta snow.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! Why did you hate Blue Valentine?
ReplyDeleteThose boots look like what I need. I'm practically living in wellies with all the rain we're having!
glad you survived the snow storm!! please do a review of blue valentine!! i wanted to see that one :) xoxo jcd
ReplyDeleteCome to MN for some real snow! :)
ReplyDeleteIn the winter, I live in sweats or yoga pants and sweatshirts. I'm all about comfort and warmth and not worrying about getting dog hair on anything good.
Wow - a week off! I'm jealous. I love that outfit - especially the leopard print scarf!

Very cute...love a punchy scarf!
ReplyDeleteOoh you just reminded me of my pea coat! I have to dig that out this winter. I've been living in my down puffer coat-it's been so cold! A week off from work-sounds like heaven! Why didn't you like Blue Valentine? I'm dying to go see it but it's not playing around me. Details!
