I seem to have a pattern of big party one month & then a small gathering the next. This month is no different. After the big John Hughes 80s party last month, I wanted something a little more subdued. This weekend (weather permitting) I’m having a Spring Ladies’ Brunch. It’ll be a great opportunity for my friends and I to gossip catch up. This would be perfect for Easter, Mother’s Day, or a shower. There are so many ways to dress this up; the choice is up to you (and budget). So put on your cutest spring dress & let’s see my inspiration board. You’re invited!
Decor:
I’m going with colors that I associate with spring: green, white, and yellow. I’ll have a white tablecloth with a green runner and yellow daffodils in milk-white vases from Trader Joes. I have green plates that will complement the runner nicely. Yellow & green lanterns will hang from the trees above.
Food:
The main dish will be a breakfast burrito bar. This is perfect for those of all food preferences. There will be whole-wheat tortillas, scrambled eggs, black beans, rice, cheeses, diced peppers, sausage, grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, salsa & sour cream. Hungry yet?
For dessert, I’ll offer coffee cake and a fruit bowl. Fruit will be served in hollowed out cantaloupes. I would recommend a watermelon to hold your fruit in if in season & your party is larger.
Drinks:
My Spa Cooler (see recipe here) will be the main offering. In addition I’ll serve cucumber water (it’s so refreshing!), and mimosas.
I hope you have a great weekend & enter my giveaway if you haven't! It ends soon!
I love this idea! I love the idea of a ladies lunch, a few years ago I did a victorian tea party for my birthday and it was so fun. The drinks look delicious too. One of the spas I go to has cucumber water and it really is wonderful. I am sure you will have so much fun! I hope the weather is nice.
ReplyDeleteI am inviting myself to one of your parties the next time I am in the ATL visiting my mom. :)
