{Ginger Peach Candle, Pier 1}
Candle—Do you have one scent in your house? Or do you seasonal rotate scents, like me (post coming soon on summer scents, btw)? In my house during the summer months, it usually smells like coconut or a fruity tropical drink. This year I purchased a Ginger Peach candle from Pier 1 and I LOVE it. It even smells delicious when not lit.
{Revlon Peach Smoothie-scented Polish}
Revlon Polish—Last year I purchased the scented polish and hated it. I gave it a go again, carefully applying to avoid bubbles, and I’m smitten. Maybe it’s my tan, but the peachy-pink color looks lovely this year. And it smells like a peach smoothie (idk about that, but it’s a pleasant smell).{Atlanta at Night}
Atlanta—last weekend marked 2 years that I’ve been living here. I’m still learning about this place and am still smitten with the city. The heat, well, is anyone a fan of that? See posts on my fave places.
{Rooftop Fireworks, Atlanta, 2010}
4th of July--Fireworks, food, fun...I love my country. See how I celebrated last year.Being a Good Samaritan--I saw a hit & run in my apartment complex. My friend & I followed the car, and once the guilty persons ran from their vehicle, we got their tag & called the police. Turns out they were young kids! The lady we helped asked what she could do to repay us. We just insisted that she pay it forward. When's the last time you helped someone?
Have a great 4th of July weekend!!! Be safe, behave, and be well. Love, Elle
PS--HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SIS Jess!

Oooh.. Glitter! Love the fireworks too!!!
ReplyDeleteWait...there is yummy scented nail polish? Why as I not aware of this until just now?
ReplyDeleteI usually have multiple scents of candle in my house and change them with the season. Right now I love pink sangria from Bath and Body Works.
The hit and run story was great. It is so nice to know there are people like you out there in the world. I hope they do pay it forward.

What you and your friend did was so great! It's good to know there are nice people in the world that do the right thing. It would have been so unfortunate if those kids had gotten away!
ReplyDeleteOoh scented nail polish - how cool!
ReplyDeleteYou and your friend are so seriously awesome - your actions give people hope in justice and the willingness of others to help each other (as a hit and run victim previously, I know how jarring it can be!)

I constantly rotate scents in my home. I think it helps to keep things fresh and some scents are just more conducive to certain times of the year.
ReplyDeleteI try to help out whenever I can. I am a firm believer in the pay it forward philosophy.
Good on you for being good samaritans! - too many people don't stop and help out...
ReplyDeleteScented nailpolish? I've never heard of it but it sounds really cool. I'm going to look for this. Yum!
