Do you suffer from Keratosis Pilaris? Never heard of it? What about permanent “chicken skin?” Ok, for half of us, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. KP is a common genetic skin condition that causes rough bumps on arms (they're red when you're younger). It looks like goose bumps or sometimes acne. It’s caused by excess keratin in the body. It usually doesn’t hurt or affect life in any way—it just isn’t cosmetically pleasing. I have it—in fact, half of the population does. While there is no cure, it can be managed, usually with prescription products. When I read about KP Duty, and the fact I could get it at Sephora, I had to try it.
What is It? KP Duty is a moisturizing lotion designed to smooth skin.
Price: $36
Where to Buy: Sephora stores and online
Did It Work: Yes! I thought it worked great! I’ve always longed for smooth arms and this product really delivers. Just like any other product, I had apply diligently to see results. Once I stopped, the KP roughness came back.BTW-- I tried taking a before/after shot, but my arms look the same—they only feel differently. Smooth! Yay!
Would I Buy Again: Yes, but since it’s expensive, I can’t afford it year-round. Instead, I’ll use it in the summer months, when my arms are exposed, even though winter months are when it’s the worst.
i don't really have this problem, but it's good it worked for you!
ReplyDeleteIs it from dry skin? I think my son has that and prescribed aquaphor or cetaphil moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of KP! But how great that this product worked so well.

ReplyDeleteI have KP. For me, just making sure to use moisturizer diligently really helps! I use Aveeno every night, and it keeps my arms smooth.
ReplyDeleteI have friends who have this - sounds like a great product!
ReplyDeleteNever used this before, might need to try it out! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have a little KP on the back of my arms, too. This stuff always clears it right up. :)

ReplyDeleteWHoa, I didn't know there was an official name for it, much less a product designed specifically to take care of it! Thanks, Elle. You saved my arms.. Now if I only had $35 lying around...
ReplyDeleteLoved this review- I know exactly which chicken skin problem you are referring to :(
ReplyDeleteThat was not me commenting early, my account was compromised, my sincere apologies, I've changed my PW so I'm all good... now I forgot what I was going to say...
