Each week I'll share a cheap treat (fewer than $10) that I love! Enjoy. Love, Elle
My Lil Sis and I were doing some Birthday Shoppin' (thanks Mama & Kenny) and stopped by Rue21. As we were checking out, I noticed this palette and did a double-take...it looked so familiar! I had to open it up, and when I did, I instantly recognized it:
It looks like the Too Faced Natural Palette!
But the Rue21 palette cost $6.99. And the Too Faced cost $36. Seriously? It was a no brainer--it went right into my bag. Let's look at it in more detail:
Closer, you say?
I love the neutral, natural shades, and the quality of the shadows is good for the value--just use a primer first. If requested, I can do a look with the palette--let me know in the comments. This palette is great for traveling, keeping in the purse for on-the-go touch ups, or as a gift (stocking stuffer alert!). Don't forget it's also a really freakin' cheap dupe for Too Faced's Natural Palette ($7 vs $36!) and has similar shades comparable to my beloved UD Naked Palette.. Edit: I'm not the only one to figure this out! I found this blog that does a great comparison of the two palettes.
What Cheap Treat have you found lately?
yes this palette has beautiful neutral shades perfect for a daily use. I love it

What a great color palette! I love neutral tones when it comes to eye makeup! :)
ReplyDeleteoh looks just like my benefit one! its the best since you can wear it everyday
ReplyDelete6 verses 36? How sneaky!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE neutral/natural looking make up. Problem is that I am very dark toned. I have almost black hair, honey brown eyes, and olive skin. Natural tones don't look that great on me. Maybe you can post something that would match a darker complexion? I'm always looking for makeup tips b/c I stink at doing it myself :(
I love neutrals. And these are some great prices!
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of Rue 21...clearly I will have to remedy that.

The palate is pretty but I'd love to see a look. Actually, two, to be precise. Can you do a natural look using the palate and a made up look? I know it's a neutral palate, but I wonder if you can manage to make it bold!
ReplyDeleteI think that'd be a really cool feature.
Wow, that's crazy inexpensive. I love finds like that! A look would be great!
ReplyDeleteWhat the what? Holy smokes I'm hitting up Rue 21 for that! My local store better have it. Great find!
ReplyDeleteSo similar!! And what an amazing color palette, that would be perfect for my daytime life!
ReplyDeleteMy cheap trick lately has been not buying new makeup :) I have so much that I've been making my way through it before I buy new stuff!!!
Also, I love that you read Columbine!!! Yes, I own it and LOVE it and even talk to the author about it a lot on Twitter (he's very attainable and so nice). It IS amazing how much was wrong. I was particularly moved by the chapter about Dylan's family holding the funeral for him... that made me cry. They seemed like decent people and I bet mourning their son was horrible given how he went out. ahhh, sorry- I could talk forever. THanks for bringing that up, you made my day!
I love the neutral colors too and even better that it comes at such a great price! :)

Rue 21 is awesome! I have not been to one in years because we don't have it in the city but man are there good deals or what :)
ReplyDeleteThe natural look looks amazing on so many many women, I think it is so much better than the dramatic look.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I have a serious nude shadow addiction- my makeup drawer is FULL of 'em! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
