Cheap Treats: Revlon Lip Butters

How was your weekend? What fun did you get into? I didn't do much, but stopped by CVS to check out the latest beauty products--drugstores always have the newest stuff first! As soon as I walked in, I saw the display for Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters, and had to check them out. They are AMAZING!

The Lip Butters feel just like a lip balm but smoother, silkier, and with lots of color. Speaking of color, they come in 20 shades and the names remind me of sugary goodies: Red Velvet, Sugar Frosting, and Berry Smoothie. I picked up the latter, and love the berry color--perfect for fall/winter. I like how I can build the color too. They don't feel sticky like a lip gloss, just smooth and well, buttery. In fact, they kind of remind me of MAC's Sheen Supreme lipsticks, with the shape and texture of the lipstick, but at half the price. Right now the Lip Butters are selling for $7.49 (I used a coupon and got mine for fewer $). My only complaints? With names like Red Velvet, Sugar Frosting, etc, I was hoping for a sugary taste. There's no taste to these lipsticks, which might appeal to some. My other complaint? I WANT THEM ALL!

    Oooh, I'm definitely checking these out! I prefer lipgloss to lipstick, but hate the stickiness, so these look perfect. Much like my beloved CoverGirl Lipslicks, but with way more color options!

    Checking it out as I type this (yip, I'm multi-tasking)! This sounds perfect for me because I also hate the stickiness of lipgloss but find lipsticks are too dry!

    Maybelline has a new lip balm called Baby Lips....it's a pretty decent lip balm but lacking in colors

    I actually enjoy tasteless lipstick, in this case a lip butters. My cheap treat for these days are a Kiehl's lipm balm in mint and a Vaseline healing hand cream. xoxo

    Gorgeous colors! I have never tried lop butter:-) My cheap treats are wet n wild eyeshadows. They are really pretty and not as expensive as the MAC makeup I usually buy.

    Positively yummy!! I spent my weekend hanging with friends... lots of fun. Right now one of the treats I am enjoying is Lavender Hand Cream. I purchased three different kinds, one for my bathroom, one for my purse, and one for my gym bag. I just can't get enough of the soothing scent.
