When it comes to beauty products, if I can't see it, I won't use it. That may seem too cluttered for some, but it's a necessity for me to have everything in my sight. Here's how I organize my 900000 (approx.) beauty essentials.
I know I'm gonna get so many disapproving comments, but this is how I've organized my hair tools for years. It's never affected my tools. They're hung from a hook, and these are just a few--this pic was taken in '09, so it's changed a bit in there. Note my Product Hoarding Stash and my Velcro Rollers!
I originally shared my makeup organization post here. I should've tidied it up for the internet, but this is how it looks daily.
I spray painted this primary-colored organizer silver. It houses my eye shadows, arranged by browns, blacks, and purple/pinks. My palettes aren't shown, but they're right beside it.
Another organizing tip I've done for years--beads to hold my brushes. I'll share a quick How To tomorrow on this.
When my mom gave me these boxes, I was unsure what to do with them. They house my polish collection, which I zip up and bring with me to wherever. The tops of the boxes are perfect to paint my nails on.

ReplyDeleteWow, and I thought I had a lot of make up. Great organization. Just curious as to when you make a decision to toss out eye shadow, and other makeup. Do you have an age limit? They say 1 1/2 - 2 years but it kills me to throw out an eye shadow that is only partially used. Sometimes it is just the right color. Thoughts?

You're so organized! You really put my collection of make-up to shame. I'm afraid that my make-up is housed in a few different cosmetics bags under the sink and in a basket. I do agree that if you can't see it, you don't use it!

My makeup is stashed in a liberty of London box on top of my counter.. but everything else is thrown in a basket up the sink. But I tend to not over buy.. I'll use something all up before buying anything new.

You would cry if you saw how poorly and lacking of organization my current cosmetic drawer is. It's just one drawer and man it is BAD!! I have a very small bathroom so these cute organizers would never work..or would they? Gotta chk out the diff sizes!

I love all these ideas! I'm the same with "if I can't see it, I won't use it" so I try to have everything visible, but then sometimes I get frustrated with it, because I feel like it's cluttered...so I'm struggling to find the balance between clutter and display. Also, I love how you keep your nail polishes, I used to do the same thing!
