Ask Elle: Simple Skincare

How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was great! I was apprehensive since it was my first Thanksgiving without my beloved Granny Sugar, but I was okay. I made the conscious effort to really devote that day to my families (mom's and dad's), as I'm usually trying to multitask when I'm around them. I am so bad about that. I didn't blog for a couple of days. I kept my phone in another room. I didn't Tweet or Instagram almost the whole day (shocker). It was a nice break and even more enjoyable company. I'm so thankful for them.

Just a few of Simple's products almost all used up!

But back to today's post! I was asked by a few of you to recommend some close-to-natural skincare and some skincare for sensitive skin. I think I might have the answer: Simple Skincare. I was sent just a few of their items a few months ago to review and I've been very happy with the products. Go check out the entire line!

They've been a well-known brand in the UK for years, and I'm so glad this affordable line is available here--try drugstores or chain stores (Wal-Mart, Target). I've seen their products on shelves and have been curious, so I was excited to finally try them out. It's really hard to have a one-for-all skincare brand, but I think you'll like this brand. Simple offers cleansers, wipes, moisturizers, and eye care products to choose from - suitable for all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin.

Simple works because it has no dyes, artificial perfumes, or harsh irritants that can upset your skin.  Instead, it's purest possible skin-loving ingredients with added vitamins to give naturally healthy-looking skin.  All Simple products have zero artificial fragrances, are dermatologist-tested, and hypoallergenic. Plus, eye care products are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

The facial cleansing wipes--didn't cause irritation or break outs.
No smell.
Vitamins added
Removes waterproof mascara

Scrub + wash
Scrub moisturizes and does a great job of exfoliation. I used it weekly.
The facial wash does pretty well at getting makeup off and doesn't dry the face. I used it daily.

Eye Roll-On + Moisturizer
Eye roll-on temporarily helps with puffy eyes. My mom has since taken this and loves it. ;)
The moisturizer is light, which is prefer, and I got several hours of moisture from it.

Have you tried Simple Skincare?
Be sure to check out the ENTIRE line, as I only reviewed a few products!

  8. my thanksgiving was good thank you! :3
i've tried simple before. When i first got into skincare they were my first pick, but as i grew into other brands, they were very...basic.. i guess you could say. they hydrate your skin but never did anything else for me.
I don't know though. I still have their moisturizer that i'll use on my neck or so. Still has very good texture :)
    glad you liked them!

  17. I wonder if we have this brand in the Middle East. The facial cleansing wipes must be very convenient in the carry on bag while traveling.

  18. I didn't realize how many products were in the Simple line. A few months ago, I got a sample of the face wash and liked it. Looks like I need to test out the wipes.
