Autumn Beauty DIY: Cranberry Toner

Ok, straight up: are you a cranberry fan at Thanksgiving? Cranberries are a holiday staple at my house, but I can only eat them whole--not that congealed thing out of the can. Ew (sorry Mama)! Regardless whether you like them or not, cranberries are excellent for your skin! I'm talking benefits like anti-aging, antioxidants, full of vitamins, skin brightening, bacteria-blocking,and more. I'm sharing this Cranberry Toner that is great for oily and acne-prone skin. Enjoy!

T O O L S
2 tbsp cranberry juice (I used organic)
1/2 c witch hazel (found at any drugstore or chain store)
bottle

M E T H O D
  • Cleanse and dry face.
  • Pour ingredients into bottle and shake.
  • Pour onto cotton pad/wash rag and apply to face. Do not rinse.
  • Apply moisturizer if needed.
T I P S
  • Use 100% juice, or as close as possible, for best results.
  • This stays for a couple of weeks and can be refrigerated.
  • Juice from real cranberries can be used--just be sure it is strained.

  3. I'm trying this Elle, stat. I actually love Witch Hazel and have used it a lot through the years. Can you recommend where to get it? I have a hard time finding it in the toner?

My Grandpa was a Fuller Brush Man and he swore by Witch Hazel so I used it as soap, as lotion and anything else you can with it. :) Love it!!!

  7. What a great idea! I use witch hazel on my skin but I've never thought of mixing in some cranberries, although that does make a lot of sense.
