Hey you! Happy weekend to us! So today in Atlanta, there were rumors of possible snow. Naturally, I was giddy and in anticipation, I bought 9 cartons of milk. Note: I don't drink milk. Nor buy 9 cartons of it. But I decided to paint my nails to fit the occasion. I was influenced by the blue color of January, winter formals, ice crystals, snowflakes, and the finale of It's A Small World. And while it will end up only raining, at least my nails will be festive. Enjoy these Icy Blue Nails.

light blue polish
silver glitter polish
clear/base coat

Paint base coat and allow to dry.
Depending on the polish consistency, apply one to two coats.
Gently dab the silver glitter to the tips of nails. Once dried, apply a clear top coat.

- This looks pretty with a baby blue or Tiffany blue polish too!
- Use silver glitter + clear polish for a more intense look.
- Try on the moons of nails or try just an accent nail.
PS: I love to support local Atlanta businesses, so if you're in the area, please make plans to visit the trunk show for Camille's Closet on Saturday or shop online at shopcamillescloset.com:

I love that color of blue. So pretty!
ReplyDeletePretty nails! I hope you get some snow, since I know you want it! :)
ReplyDeleteYou do such a good job with your own manicures! These look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMine seem to always get imprints of my sheets or pillow when I sleep - even if I do them HOURS before bed. So frustrating, so I stick to paying someone to do them for me, which is definitely the lazy way out.
oh, i absolutely love this! thanks for sharing and that colour is so pretty too:-)
ReplyDeleteOooo love these!Silver and blue are my fav colors.
ReplyDeleteI like.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteCute!!!! Can I tell you? Whenever I paint my nails, it looks like a toddler did it! I'm the worst. And if I somehow manage to get them to look alright, I always bump them and mess them up!
ReplyDeleteI love that you got the inspiration from that outfit. LOVE how the mani came out, so cute!

That Sally Hansen blue looks so pretty - I am such a sucker for those kinds of pastel/baby blues. I have so many and yet feel like I'm eternally looking for the perfect one! Love the silver glitter tips - very wintry wonderland :)
ReplyDeleteThis is utterly pretty, the sweet pastel shade and glittery tips...perfect!
ReplyDeletei always love your NOTW's. The one from christmas (the silver bells one) i re-created in december. i was going to post a NOTW with it but my pictures came out bad. i used a china glaze prism glitter with essies nojthing else metals and sally hansens in the spotlight. that is neither here nor there but i was thinking about your weekly challenges and I had a good idea for one. I am not sure if your still doing those on your blog but you have got me started on doing my own weekly challenges every week and one that i learned a couple years ago from the book called Smart Women Finish Rich is to write down every single thing you purchase for the week. a pack of gum? write it down. a bill you paid? write it down. gas? write it down. anything. that way, at the end of the week you can really see where all of your money is actually going to see if your actually funding your dreams or not. just a thought! i thought i would share it with you. i did it back then thinking it really wasn't necessary because i know everything i buy. when you actually have it down on paper you start to notice the amount of money you actually spend!
ReplyDeleteI love these nails. They remind me Nicole Richie's dress a few posts back!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Shauna xoxo
i love the color you used for your base coat!

Love everything about this post! From the inspiration to the final product. Haha, when Sandy was coming I loaded up on food we wouldn't need electricity to cook. Didn't end up effecting us here really at all, but I get crazy about bad weather ever since that horrible storm in 2010.

Those are so pretty -- and I actually have some ice-blue polish, so I could do this tonight! I always thought of this color as being more summery (so I didn't think I could pull it off in the winter), but the glitter makes it perfect for this season.
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty! Love this. xo, Julie
