I have three posts lined up for today, including this post from the past, so please be sure to scroll down and check them all out!
Lip stains have gained a big following within the past couple of years, and for good reason. These products promise long-wearing, kiss-proof action. Who doesn't want that? A favorite drugstore brand is the Just Bitten line from Revlon. The stain features a marker-like applicator as well as a balm.

When I tried the Just Bitten line, I would always sneeze (for some odd reason), I found the product drying, and that the color didn't last long. I knew there had to be a way to achieve that "just bitten" lip look using what I already had in my makeup collection. Here's my super easy tip for how I do it at home:
Do you like the Just Bitten line (or any lip stain)? Would you try this technique?
PS: I posted three times today, so I hope you find a post (or more) that you might like!
i've tried covergirl's outlast lipstain which i like. it's definitely not moisturizing but i just put on lip balm on first :)
ReplyDeleteNever tried the Just Bitten, but I love how simple and cheap your alternative is!
ReplyDeleteI love it all. I love Nicole Richie's hair!!!! And the dress...to die for. I love it!!! The anti-aging pill? Interesting. I'll have to see about this..I'd like to read more about it. Take care lovely friend,

ooo love the look of these :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful tip, I will try!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't loved the lip stains either, but I do like the idea. Do you just line your lips or fill them all in? Probably a dumb question, but I didn't know cherry chap-stick had much color.

What a great tip, will need to try this one day :) I have tried the Revlon felt tip marker lip stains and I have to say I prefer their crayon version much more.
ReplyDeleteHave never tried this line, but I like your simple way of doing it better:)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you- I find most true lip stains to be drying, which is not something I'm willing to suffer through during the winter when my lips are already almost-chapped! :)

ReplyDeleteI've been doing this since early 1990s when I just wanted a bit of colour on my lips... :) Nice to see you are using the same trick, too. x
ReplyDeleteI've never tried these, but I've heard good things...need to give it a whirl!

I hate how a lot of lip stains feel really dry, so I will definitely have to try this!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great trick to get the color and moisture! I tried these just bitten and didn't like them at all but the just bitten kissable balm stains (the chubby stick ones) I absolutely love!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific idea, will try it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tips. I would have never thought about the cherry lip gloss.

ReplyDeletegood idea! i've never tried the just bitten products, but it does soon like it would be super drying.
ReplyDeleteI like the covergirl lip stains. I wearing it in today post. I going to have to try lip liner and chap stick.
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that Revlon makes the best lipsticks!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, this is so easy! I will definitely be trying this so I can actually get the matte look without lipstick!
ReplyDeleteI tried a similar product a couple of years ago, I think it was Covergirl - I loved the look but I find it very drying for my already dry lips. With a gloss overtop, though, they're less natural but still really pretty :)

I tried a similar product and hated it. It gave me "fruit punch" lips. Not a fan.
