- NARS--Gorgeous, pigmented bronzers with hints of shimmer. 3 shades and expensive.
- HOOLA by Benefit--I love Benefit products, and this one doesn't disappoint! Dark, expensive, and pigmented. (currently own)
- Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in Milk Chocolate--I have the original chocolate, which is dark, but this lighter version looks nice on light to medium skin tones. Expensive. (currently own in orig)
- Illamasqua Pigment in Hollow--This is pricey, but if you're very, very pale, I suggest this for contouring. Another option is a matte, light taupe shadow, such as Naked Basics Palette in Naked 2.
- NYC Smooth Skin in Sunny--This can look muddy on light skin tones, but it's an excellent drugstore option for a matte bronzer. (currently own)
- Rimmel Natural Bronzer--This comes in 4 shades and is a great drugstore option. I wear this more in the winter as the coverage is light and well, natural! (currently own)
- NYX Matte Bronzer--This comes in 5 shades, featuring golden, warm, and cool undertones. Pigmented and very affordable.
PS: This is how I use bronzer to contour
I may have to try the Hoola bronzer! It sounds like you are definitely happy with it. xo T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeletei like Tarte Park Ave Princess and i LOVE my Nars Laguna bronzer
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about NARS bronzer and would definitely try it some time! Thanks for the other recommendations!

Will pick up the NYX one next time I go to Target!
ReplyDeleteOoops...sorry...that comment above should have under my ID:( Used the wrong account!
ReplyDeleteBut yes....will try NYX for sure. Can't believe I haven't tried NYX before!
Great list! I looove Hoola and i think it's important to note that it is matte and lighter than the typical bronzer. So it is my go to winter bronzer or for contouring. In the summer I use NARS Laguna since it's shimmery and darker.
ReplyDeleteAwesome products! So cool:)

I have the coastal scents contouring palette, and oh my gosh it has the best matte bronzer EVER. Have you tried it? How does it compare to the NYX? I'm about to run out, but I don't want to buy a whole new palette.
ReplyDeleteThanks doll!
I have the Rimmel one and I love it for Summer!

The Perfect Palette
I use a bronzer from ELF that I really love! :)
ReplyDeleteEven though I am not a fan of bronzers, if I must, I wear the one from Smashbox...
ReplyDeleteI will take #5 please, thank you very much.
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha
Great post, as they always are, you nice person!!!
Thanks for sharing these! I used to use a bronzer I got from Victoria Secret as eyeshadow, and it worked really well. The NARS one looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI like Nars. I tried the Benefit and still has it(forgot the name) but it is like bronzer/highligther, like half half. Thanks for sharing Elle. I always like to be introduce with other brands too.

I like Nars very much! Never tried the bronzer, but I know the brand and it has to be good as well as the other products! Sorry that I was absent for a while - I had high fever for days and I'm also dealing with other troubles...
ReplyDeleteSome great suggestions here and the Nars one with a hint of shimmer is one that I would like to try.

Great list! I use an e.l.f. bronzer.
ReplyDeleteYou always provide the best tips and information. I am pretty pale so I guess I need to pick up Illamasqua Pigment in Hollow.

NARS bronzer is my #1! Unfortunately the price tends to get to me, so every time I run out of it I get Physician's Formula... and then I don't like it as much and I get NARS... and the cycle keeps going!
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of sounding like a complete noob (which is not far from the truth to be honest...), do I need bronzer if I am naturally tan? Or just blusher is adequate?
ReplyDeleteHow did you know that this was exactly the post I needed to read? I've been contemplating a new bronzer for what feels like forever and I'm pretty settled on a Nars version, but your review was just the little extra push I needed :)

We love the Too Faced bronzers!!
ReplyDeleteJayme & Mendi @ Her Late Night Cravings
@Shireen--It's used to give color to the face or to add some color and shimmer. It's also used to contour. You don't need it unless you wantone of the effects listed above :)
