The holidays just call for a little sparkle, don’t they? And I love wearing a little sparkle on my eyes. It's the easiest way to wear sparkle, especially if sequins aren't your thing. But I don't always have time to get ready, as I'm usually leaving straight from work to an event. Let me introduce you to the Revlon PhotoReady™ Primer, Shadow + Sparkle.
Here are the palettes I received:
Watercolors—gorgeous lilacs
Impressionist—sparkly browns, neutrals
Avant Garde—beautiful blue, grey, and silver
But what makes them different from other shadows? The Revlon PhotoReady™ Primer, Shadow + Sparkle allows you to easily create limitless looks with one palette! These palettes also feature a primer, 3 highly pigmented shadows and a sparkle top coat. I like having everything I need in one palette, for those times when I need to get ready after work and don’t have time to run home. Plus, there are directions on the back that show exactly where to place the shadows. You’ve got a gorgeous look that looks like you spent a lot of time and money to achieve.
So let’s get into the looks:
- I chose to follow the directions just like on the package. First, I applied the primer all over the lid up to the brow bone. I used a flat shader brush, but a clean finger will work in a pinch.
- Next, I added the bottom shade all over the lid using a flat shader brush.
- I used the center shade on the crease and applied it in a windshield-wiper motion with a crease brush.
- I swept the top shade as a highlight over my brown bone. I used a small detail brush for this.
- For that extra bit of enhancement, I applied the sparkle coat all over the lids.
Watercolors
I did the same process for the other two looks. They’re gorgeous shadows, aren’t they? Just finish up with loads of mascara (or false lashes!) and your favorite lip color.
Impressionist
- To save time adding eyeliner, I smudged the darkest shade along the top and lower lashes. The shadows can be used wet to intensify them.
I like to add the glitter top coat to just the center of my lids in this look. It helps to open the eyes!
If you’re looking for sparkle this holiday, with a look that’s easy to apply, as well as a versatile product, then you need the The Revlon PhotoReady™ Primer, Shadow + Sparkle.

Love the second look in particular, will definitely have to try that one out. My favorite beauty tip secret is to use pointy q-tips with a little makeup remover on them to perfect winged or cat-eye eyeliner! It helps you make it perfect every time. I hope I win!

I love, love, love Revlon's photo ready eye shadows! I use Impressionist. But I think Avante Garde really makes your blue eyes pop, so I may have to try that one!
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually attracted to blue eyeshadows but I love the blue palette! Not too dramatic, but subtle enough to be wearable. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous makeup! I wish I could look half that good. :)
ReplyDeleteMy secret...hm. Maybe not much of a secret really, but I don't just dust blush onto my cheeks - I also dust a small amount on the very top of my forehead, along my hairline, and down the bridge of my nose. Just enough to add a little color. It really makes the rest of my makeup pop for some reason.
I like Impressionist! What a good idea to put primer in there with it!
ReplyDeleteWatercolous and Avant Garde are both beautiful and you look lovely as always sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI love the different shades on you Elle! My beauty tip is to use a dot of lotion on a cotton swab to remove little eye shadow/liner mistakes!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Chic 'n Cheap Living
They all look like really pretty palettes!
ReplyDeleteMy beauty tip is to add a shimmery white highlight color to the middle of your lips after applying lipstick and/or gloss. This makes your lips look fuller and more pouty. :)

Hustla, baby.

Amazing colors, I like makeup very much! I love glitter too, but look, you don't need to use glitter to "help" opening the eyes - although glitter looked great on you, but with your eyes even the most terrible makeup would look amazing, let alone nice makeup like these colors now! You have amazing eyes, w-o-w! denisesplanet com
ReplyDeleteThese look very pretty on you Elle - I'm a fan of Revlon shadows too.
ReplyDeleteLovely eyes! Revlon is a fab product! I have used their eye shadows for years now. :) Hugs! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I have under-eye circles and my tip is to put concealer only on the sides of the eye, then blend inward (and down). It looks more natural than covering up the whole area.

Get plenty of rest. Being constantly sleep deprived is a real issue for most people in the USA and causes a lot of aging of not only your looks but your body's insides too! The current recommendation for adults is 8hrs and 15mins in a completely dark room at 65 degrees F. I do this every night!
