Today I'm introducing the Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette. But first, a little about Studio Gear:
"Founded by industry veterans Steve Rohr and John Avolio, Studio Gear Cosmetics is a prestigous cosmetics brand featuring a full collection of professional makeup brushes, revolutionalizing complexion formulas, and a wide selection of color products for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Since 1996, Studio Gear has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots, in the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy's, Dillard's, HSN and ULTA, and also in the everyday woman's makeup bag. This is a line created true to the concept that every woman deserves professional, high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price."
I've been a huge fan of this brand for a while now, so of course I couldn't wait to try out this palette. Check it out:
About the palette:
"Be radiant on any occasion with this sultry, shimmery palette of dramatic shades – perfect for creating a classic smoky eye look, with a hint of unexpected golden glimmer. This collection of four complimentary eye shadows with matching blush deliver several day to night options that are both seductive and wearable. With pure color, pigment-rich formulations, you’ll be sure to smolder all night!"
I love that inside are four shimmery shadows that will allow you to create a variety of looks, as well as a beautiful blush. There's also a step-by-step guide for a dramatic look perfect for the holidays. That addition of the gold is just gorgeous.
And here's my look. I chose to do a daytime-friendly look that I wore to work, but this could easily be adapted into a nighttime one. I'm wearing the pewter and black shades here, with a little silver got highlight. I love how everything is in one kit. These are pigmented shadows and I didn't use primer. Add mascara, lip gloss (which they have, too) and you're all set.
The Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Palette can be yours for $25. But they are offering YOU a 10% discount with the code SGHOLIDAY. This code does not expire and will be applied to your entire order.
Speaking of orders, Studio Gear also has Beauty Kits that they release monthly. I urge you to check these out. These range from $20-$45. Here are some examples of the kits:
- Bye Bye Blemishes
- Luscious Lips
- Quick Fix Kit
- Shades of the Season: Autumn (love this)
- Holiday Classics
- The Pink Kit (love this too)
