I'm back! It's been a wild ride these past two weeks, so let's get into it:
Rants
- Having a Blogger Breakdown--I've been super stressed, and had to accomplish double the work in half the time. I kinda had a meltdown and cried on my vacation. I've thought about maybe writing more about it, but don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I'm still two days and hundreds of emails behind, but I'm getting there. edit: post on this at 8am
- I had a bad cold during my Disney World trip. I had visions of lying on the ground and sleeping as kids walked over me, their Churro dust raining on me. I'm sure being sick added to the Blogger Breakdown, hehe.
- Unless you missed the 249053 pics on my Instagram, I went to Walt Disney World in Florida for a few days! It was rainy and cold, which was fine with me because there were fewer people at the park. I'm truly a kid at heart, and could spend hours talking to you about all of the secrets of the parks. A highlight of the year!
- I came home to an ice storm, so I had a couple of days off from work, giving me time to attempt getting caught up on blog stuff. I know it looks like my posts take 5 minutes to do, but everything takes hours!
- Pink glittery nails--I've been rocking the dark nails for winter, but now the lighter colors are coming! That coupled with the warm weather towards the end of my Orlando vacation had me craving summer. Bring on the beach!
- I had a great Valentine's Day! I got my hair done, which is one of my most favorite things ever, poured some cranberry juice in a martini glass (had cluster headaches that day so no bubbly for me), had a little chocolate, and watched House of Cards. Are you into that show?
- I do these weekly roundups, but have started doing monthly personal posts and monthly vlogs, so for those of you into that.
- I'm going to turn this into a Link Up, since so many of you do this on your own blogs, very soon!
- I'm also debating doing Blog of the Week (1) or Blogs of the Month (4). Thoughts?

sorry about your stress and breakdown, but so happy you enjoyed Disney! It was great following your trip on Instagram!
ReplyDeleteA year ago I wouldn't have believed there was such a thing as a blogger breakdown. And now, look who's been missing from the scene for months on end! It is much more time consuming than it appears. Don't put too much pressure on yourself :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Disney World one of these days! Only been to Universal Studio Singapore and I think I had more fun than my boy! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the fun outweighed the stress! I'm glad you had a nice Valentine's Day and a great time at Disney :) Have a fabulous week!

We go to Disney World every year & yup, I saw your pictures on Instagram. It's not as warm in Florida in the winters as I thought. We went one year in December and it was almost as cold there as it was at home in Mass.
ReplyDeleteCan absolutely understand the meltdown - whenever I feel this way, I just disappear from the world for a day or two... Hope everything will be back to normal soon. On the other hand, your trip and weekend sound absolutely wonderful! Have a great week, Elle! x
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better. I've been super stressed lately too...not fun at all. I am SO jealous that you got to go to Disney World! I haven't been there since 7th grade...I'm 25 now. Now that my youngest is 4, she's the perfect age for a trip there. I want to take both of my kids (my other daughter is 6) there very soon. Maybe this fall. I'm a total kid at heart too and Disney World is one of my favorite places EVER. I'm totally ready for spring and summer too....I'm in Chicago and we keep getting snow dumped on us. It finally starts to melt a little and then BOOM another 6 inches comes down. I hate driving in this shit, it makes me want to barricade myself in my house. haha.

Hustla, baby.
No wonder you were ill on your holiday :( you are putting so much pressure on yourself and I am sure the cluster headaches are a side effect of that :( Take care of you.
ReplyDeletesorry about your blogging breakdown (i think we have all been there, but it doesnt make it easier). hang in there elle! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a blogger of the month on my blog ;) Loved all of your Disney Pictures!
ReplyDeleteDisney world is so fun! I went there on my honeymoon, and ironically I had a cold at the time too lol!! I have been doing weekly personal posts too, but doing a monthly one instead doesn't sound like a bad idea! I might have to do that instead!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see this become a link-up--I think I have a lot of rants and raves each week myself! How awesome that you went to Disney World on vacay--too bad you were sick, but I hope you had a lot of fun anyway!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE "House of Cards", though I must say when I watched the beginning of the second season, I was very lost. I didn't remember half the stuff going on.
ReplyDeleteI say YES to link ups and favorite blogs of the week/month. All of your followers love you, so maybe we can love each other too : )
We seriously need to meet up in Destin/pensacola this summer for a weekend beach getaway!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you got sick on your vacation.
ReplyDeletePete watches House of Cards and a co-worker was just telling me about it, too... think I need to add it to my Netflix queue!
ReplyDeleteI am so behind too right now so I can relate to the stress. I just started to watch House of Cards but I am a little lost already. I think a Blog of the Week or Month would be fun. Hope you are feeling much better.
