Happy weekend to us! What are your plans? I'm heading back home for my Grandmother's 75th birthday. She's the reason I got into beauty (at age 3!) so it's only fitting I mention her in a beauty post, right? Speaking of today's post, I'm comparing two lip crayons. See more drugstore lip crayon reviews here. Enjoy!
Wet N Wild Mega Slicks Lip Balm Stain
- lip balm stains glide on smoothly while conditioning the lips
- enriched with Acai Palm Oil, this amazing formula forms a protective shield on the lips to prevent feathering.
- 6 shades
- minty, cooling sensation
- $2.99
NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color
- twist, glide and go
- gives lips a modern and fresh touch
- shiny, stay-put finish
- 12 shades
- fruity scent
- $2.99
This or That?
- As far as staying power, Wet N Wild lasts much longer, as it is a balm stain. However, some of the colors just looked completely different on me than on the packaging/in the tube.
- I liked the NYC color selection better and it was shinier; very similar to a lipstick.
- But personally, I like Jordana, Neutrogena, or Revlon better than these. See more lip crayon reviews here.
Have a great weekend! Be safe, behave, and be well. Love, Elle.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your grandma. I'm going out to eat tonight and then to a birthday party tomorrow
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried either product but I love the concept of these lip products.
ReplyDeleteBeautetude
I was thinking about trying a cheaper lip crayon because I love my revlon one so much. I wanted to try different shades, but not spend tons of cash. Good to know I'll skip these and try the Jordana ones!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. Happy birthday to your grandma...enjoy celebrating!

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried these yet, but I love the Revlon one as well. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to go for something a smidge more expensive. Thanks lady, and happy birthday to your Grandma!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Revlon has a good one.. and so does Clinique! : ) xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI really do like all the pretty selections! Ill have to look for these here!
ReplyDeleteI have so been wanting to try these "chubby" sticks. Was in MAC though the other day trying their lipsticks. Have not decided on one yet.

I might try a couple just to play around with them but I'm with you... Revlon is a winner!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know these two brands have lip crayons. I gotta test these out. Thanks for the tips and review. I am a Revlon girl currently!
ReplyDeleteAmazing review, I didn't know about those products, even though, I like the brands!

Ooohhhh gonna search for these in the local drugstore. I've never tried lip crayons before.
ReplyDelete(^^,)
I hate when I get a lipstick and it's not the same as it looks on the package!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to a nice, low-key weekend with friends while the hubby is out of town. :-) I've never been a huge fan of lip crayons/stains because I feel like they dry out my lips. I'm much more of a gloss girl, even though it doesn't last nearly as long...
ReplyDeleteLove your reviews. I will have to try the Jordana ones since I keep hearing about them from you.
ReplyDeletelove your honest review but since you sadi you like Revlon better, i'm checking it out. Enjoy your weekend and happy birthday to your grandma.

Your grandmother is SO beautiful - I love that she's your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThese reviews are fantastic - I don't usually use lipcolor (i have very small lips and suck at not over applying and looking like a clown), but love these reviews.
i haven't tried a lipstick crayon yet. thanks for the suggestions. happy birthday to your grandmother. have a great time.

Cool, thanks for the comparison! I really like Clinique's Chubby Sticks and Revlon's ColorBurst Balms.
ReplyDeleteThe Neutragena's are hands down my favorite
ReplyDeleteI think I have every color!

Both look good! I wish they were available here in India

Never tried either of them but I'd go with Wet n Wild if I were to purchase one! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Wet n Wild :)
ReplyDeleteGreat comparison! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat colours for spring. Lip stains can be quite drying. I like the sound of a balm which is a stain too.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your grandmother! I am always looking for little ways to "treat" myself. Will definitely try one of the Wet n Wild Lip Balm Stains! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteIt's the respective feels/scents that steer me away from both; I'm not into cooling sensations on my lips or fruity scents. I've not tried the Revlons yet but I've been wanting to. Thanks for the money saving review ;) And Happy a Birthday to your grandma! If she's anything like you, she must be glam and gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI love lip crayons! Thanks for the review on these!
ReplyDeleteI love those colours, especially in the NYC collection. Kisses, lovely.
