Have you started spring cleaning yet? I admit--the only cleaning I've done is clean out my makeup bag. Do you do that, too? Over the weekend I switched out my winter stuff for my must-have beauty items for spring. Now, I love spring, but the biggest downside to it would be my allergies. Allergies and being a beauty blogger just don't mix, so I rely on several products to help me out. Here's a peek in my bag to gear up for spring:
- an adorable bag--Having a cute bag that's easy to find and that holds all of my essentials is key. And it's no secret I'm a fan of mint for spring. Polka dots or florals are also great choices.
- cream blush--When I need instant color, I swear by a cream blush. They're such a soft, blendable texture that looks natural. No brushes needed!
- HALLS® drops--I always keep HALLS Breezers (cool creamy strawberry is my fave) and HALLS Defense in my bag. The Breezers soothe allergy-related coughs and sore throats. And I like using Defense (sugar free) with 100% daily value of Vitamin C in each drop!
- lip balm--I have over a dozen uses for this (seriously), but its most important use is prepping my lips before applying lipstick. Tip: plain lip balm is excellent for removing mascara clumps on lashes!
- pastel polish--Pastels polishes are my favorite for spring, and how perfect is this minty green? I might have 8 other shades of these--shh!
- sunnies--Not only do these help with my sneezing (I sneeze the second I go outside) but they hide puffy allergy eyes!
- hair elastic--I'm usually outside during spring, so a hair elastic that doubles as a cute bracelet is a bonus.
- pink lipstick--I keep a subdued pink in my bag for day and a brighter pink lipstick for night.
- cream shadow--For when I want my eyes to look bigger and more awake (a must for seasonal allergies) I rely on a cream shadow with a satin finish. As opposed to some shimmery powder shadows that could have eye-irritating particles, cream shadows stay put and blend in easily. Tip: dot the tiniest amount of the shadow along the tops of cheekbones for an instant dewy glow. Be sure to blend in thoroughly.
When you have a cold, HALLS is the #1 cough drop that most people choose for effective relief. But, did you know that the same HALLS you trust is also effective for allergy-related coughs and sore throats? Don’t let allergies get the best of you. Grab your allergy cough by throat and try HALLS Cough drops or HALLS Breezers throat drops as a complement to your primary allergy medication regimen. Click here to learn more.
How are you gearing up for spring? What's in your bag?
My bag is such a mess right now. You just reminded me that I need to clean it out!
ReplyDeleteWell, sweets, this might be the first sponsored post I've actually read ;) The funny thing is, I just discovered these Breeze thingies for allergies. I live in grass seed central and some years I feel nothing and some years I get hit pretty hard... Anyhoo, these drops are indeed soothing and delicious, lol.
ReplyDeleteSpring allergies are the worst! Cream shadow for allergy eyes? I'll have to give it a shot this season! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so incredibly lucky that I don't suffer from allergies, because they sound horrible! Also this post reminds me that I desperately need to pack my make up bag for when I go into labor... my husband cannot be trusted to grab the right items on his own!
ReplyDeleteWe love Halls in this house, but haven't seen these Breezers yet!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I wish halls had such nice flavors here in India too!

ReplyDeleteI cannot live without Halls cough drops year round! My allergies are awful, & they only get worse in the spring, so I couldn't imagine life without them!
ReplyDeleteOh man I haven't started spring cleaning yet, you just reminded me that I need to do that. But I like the idea of cleaning out your makeup bag, I never thought to do that, i will have to do it now. Oh and I love halls breezers and I keep the halls vitamin c in my bag too when I feel like I need a little vitamin c boost. hehe

Gorgeous! And, of course, Breezers ftw. :)
ReplyDeleteMint is one of my favorite colors for spring, and I love that nail polish and the bag! I love Halls cough drops, too, though my allergies really just make my eyes water, and there's not much I can do about that.
ReplyDeleteI keep those halls on hand too. Just had to use them last week.
ReplyDeleteI love Halls Breezers. I am an allergy sufferer and I swear, I always have a dry or scratchy throat because of it.

I've been looking for the perfect cream blush! My powder blush doesn't seem to last all day and as much as I love the stains sometimes they just don't give the effect I'm looking for. I currently have that Essie polish on, it's so perfect for spring! Love it!

I usually don't suffer from allergies unless the pollen is really bad outside but my poor dog Jinx suffers every spring.

ReplyDeleteI switched to a minty colored bag, but moved all my same old junk into it. Still that is what I call my success for the season. And in keeping with your post theme, I do indeed have Halls Breezers in it (in the strawberries & creme flavor) I keep them around year-round in case my mouth is feeling dry or icky.
ReplyDeleteNail polish is my weakness so I just picked up a few new pastel shades for spring!
ReplyDeleteLove HALLS Defense, but I might try the one for allergies :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, just having that cute purse can dress up any outfit plus put u in a good mood. I always have to have lip balm wherever I go & I love the berry cream Halls!
