So, I totally let dropped the ball on this one! I meant to share these reviews last year, um yeah. My BB Cream Reviews are some of my most-viewed posts, and I wanted to share some you might not have tried. Enjoy!
Nuance by Salma Hayek Brightening BB Cream
- $14.99 ($7.50 as I post this)
- 1 oz
- CVS stores and CVS.com
- SPF 30
- Light/Medium, Medium/Deep
- Vitamin C and E
- Sheer coverage
- Best for: dry skin.
- Overall: This is very similar to the original Garnier BB Cream, but for half the product and for more money. It will make you oily as the day goes on. Wouldn't repurchase.
Wet n Wild Fergie BB Cream
- $5.99 (I have seen it cheaper, so shop around)
- 1 oz.
- Drugstores and online
- SPF 15
- 5 shades
- 8-in-1
- Light-medium coverage
- Best for: all skin types
- Overall: This has a strong smell, and I would recommend their foundation to this.
NYX BB Cream
- $12.99
- 1 oz.
- some drugstores/Target/Ulta and online
- 3 shades
- oil-free
- sheer coverage
- Best for: oily skin
- Overall: This gave the lightest coverage, but was very drying on my dry skin. I wouldn't repurchase this, but everyone I know who has tried it, has liked it.

Garnier is still my fave BB Cream:) Thanks for this review, Elle. Saves me $$$:D
ReplyDeleteMakes a perfect reference! Thanks for all the research, Elle! x
ReplyDeleteI still haven't try a BB cream out. Going to have to look in to these.
ReplyDeleteMy Pond's BB cream is almost out so I am doing some shopping around. Thanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try a BB Cream; but am contemplating the one from Maybelline.

Good to know that the drugstore brands aren't as good as the more upscale ones! I had always wondered!

I LOVE the new look of your website!! It's beautiful and so easy to navigate! I've been a big fan of the Garnier BB cream but keep thinking I need to try one of these, but now after reading this, I guess I should stick with what's working!! Jealous of your impending beach trip, but you enjoy it girl!
ReplyDeleteHoping that the Wet & Wild one would be good, but I guess in this case you get what you pay for!

I haven't tried any of these. My favorite drugstore one that I've tried is the revlon photo ready bb cream or the garnier one.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any of these but I'm always looking for a new BB cream so this is good to know! Right now I really love L'Oreal Magic.
ReplyDeleteEveryone swears by drugstore BB creams, but I've never found them to do anything special for my skin (which also keeps me from buying the higher end ones). I'll stick with moisturizing and foundation!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried any of these but I was curious about that Fergie one. Thanks for the reviews!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pity we don't any of these creams here, this is a really good comparison. I appreciate that you always take the time to stop by :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you are always honest, I would hate to waste my money. I haven't tried anything and will opt to try something else you have recommended.
ReplyDeleteBB creams just don't have enough coverage for me but I've never tried the Garnier one. I hear that is good. Thanks for the honest reviews of these 3!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the only one I would possibly try is the NYX one and that's only because I have oily skin so maybe the drying thing would be good on me haha. Great review as always.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reviews! I need a good cream.
ReplyDeleteI really like the NYX BB cream. My skin tone is so hard to match though, so I mix the Nude and the Natural to get the right shade. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I have a couple of posts that I wrote a long time ago that I still haven't gotten around to posting so I totally hear ya. Glad you got this one up! I like the BB Creams!
ReplyDeleteWow. Loved the comparisons and mini reviews. Thank you for posting this dear. I would love to see comparisons of drugstore foundations too.

Oh these are all new bb creams because I haven't heard of them before. I've been wanting to try a new one because I recently got the Physician formula one but I think it's a cc cream but it broke me out, so I'm scared to try another. But I really like Nyx products so I'm thinking I might try it especially since I have oily skin.

I kinda want to try the NYX BB cream because my skin is oily. Maybe that would strike the perfect balance? Great review post!
ReplyDeleteI've never really given these bb creams a second look, I may have to.
