Neutrogena offers an amazing array of sunscreens (seriously, go look), and as an ambassador, I've had the privilege to try out several. There's a reason they're the #1 Dermatologist-Recommended Suncare brand. Today I'm sharing a few that I've really liked, and maybe you will too! If you don't like that sunscreen feel (I can't stand that greasy feeling on my hands) you will love my choices today. See what sunscreen is right for you:
Wet Skin--Every weekend you can find me at the pool, and since I'm constantly in the water, I like the Neutrogena Wet Skin Suncreen. This works well at the beach or in humid climates (hello, The South). It can be applied on dry or wet skin, and if guys in your life are reluctant to put on sunscreen (nearly 50% admit they forget sunscreen), they need to try this! They have several versions, including one for kids.
Water+ Sun--If a stick version is more your style, the Neutrogena BEACH DEFENSE® Sunscreen Stick. It's hands-free and convenient, making it nice for outdoor skin protection. I make sure to apply it to ears, my scalp, above my lip, too.
No Breakouts--I think this is the most asked sunscreen question I get. If you break out when sunscreen is on your face, please give Neutrogena Clear Face Sunscreen a go. This is perfect for acne and breakout-prone skin. It's oil and fragrance-free too. It can be applied on the body as well. My tip: While I have never broken out from this sunscreen, I like to completely wash my face and reapply sunscreen after a couple of hours. It's my trick that really works!
Weightless--I can't stand lotion-y hands. I don't how else to describe it. So naturally I was drawn to the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face+Body. It feels like you have nothing on! A quick wipe down and you're done for up to 2 hours (or 80 minutes after swimming/sweating).
Did you know: Watch your shadow! If your shadow is shorter than you are, the sun’s UV rays are at their strongest!
* This is NOT a sponsored post. While I've been sent these, I was not asked to write a post--these are my honest reviews. These are broad spectrum sunscreens and vary in SPF, so find the number that works for you. While I have never had any issues with these (or I wouldn't be recommending them) I cannot be certain how they will work for you. But I love them!
I used the wet kids for the first time ever this year! That stuff is amazing ... It goes on smooth and isn't greasy and smells great! I love the stuff!
ReplyDeleteOoo, thanks for the tip! I will definitely be watching my shadow from now on!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! I am going to pick up the clear skin lotion! Susan
ReplyDeleteI am all about the Ultra Sheer SPF 100....I wear it religiously.

I've been trying to stick version I received from your prize pack (thank you, by the way!!!) and it is perfect for touch-ups on the beach. My husband Jared said he felt his shoulders burning, so I quickly applied the stick on his shoulders and neck. Good to go and no sunburn!
ReplyDeletenever knew that about the sun.
ReplyDeleteNo breakouts, SPF 50+ is the only option for me!

We don't get all of these in India, but from whatever we have, I like the dry touch sheer the best.

I'm going to try that Clear Face one! The kind I am currently using is not working for my skin!
ReplyDeleteI think I light the weightless one. I hate the feeling of any type of sunblock or body oil.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I was looking for some 'light' sunscreen so thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips!!
ReplyDeleteGreat info Elle! I also use a good one by Kheils called FLUID. It absorbs quickly into the skin so you can apply makeup afterwards. Without the greasy feeling - ya know what I mean?

Oh I'm currently using a neutrogena sunscreen for my face that's suppose to go on clear when you wear makeup. But this is some great info to buy something another kind to use on my body as well.

I really like the ultra sheer kind, so I'll have to try the weightless one, too. Neutrogena has always been great for me.
ReplyDeleteI hate lotiony lotions too. Especially when it is hot outside. There was one that formed a weird barrier on my skin (just sat on my skin). I wish I can remember the name of the product, but I will never buy it again. The Neutrogena sounds interesting. Especially if it is a lightweight moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteI want the one with SPF 100! :D
