It's baaack! This or That, one of my most-liked series is back by popular demand. Every week or so I'll compare 2 similar beauty products, with one usually being high end and one being drugstore. Up first are two cream blushes, Makeup Forever HD Blush in Coral and Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush in Rosey. Let's check out the info on each:
- $26
- 15 shades
This or That?
- As you can tell from the swatches above, these are so similar in color and look indistinguishable on my cheeks.
- I loved the creamy texture of both of these blushes, which felt similar.
- The ingredients are similar, but there is nothing extraordinarily different. If you are really into that, click the links to see the ingredients for each.
- I found the MUFE blush to come across a little more pigmented on camera, but they look the same in person.
- After thoroughly testing each in a variety of ways, I've found the wear time to be around the same for each.
- If you are looking for a variety of shades of cream blushes, you'll want the MUFE.
- If you are looking for an inexpensive, pigmented cream blush, with the same quality as the MUFE, choose the Sonia Kashuk.
ok this is such a great idea for a blog series! look forward to them. i'd go with the SK just because its more affordable and i can never get a good enough routine going for an expensive kind!
ReplyDeleteOh I've always wondered about the Sonia Kashuk blush! Love this shade!

I love the pigment of the Makeup Forever pod. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I have two cream blushes that I need to use more often.
ReplyDeleteI recently tried a sample of the MUFE cream blush and loved it, granted, I've never tried the SK one so I cannot compare. I'll have to make a mental note to pick one up at some point as I liked the MUFE formula so much, it's awesome to know that the SK version is so similar. :-)
ReplyDeleteWill give that Sonia Kashuk a try!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I love looking at all the pretty blushes, but I'm never sure which one is right for me! Thanks for the insight into these products, I'll have to take a look! :)

ReplyDeleteOh I have cream blushes from nyx, I might have to try the sonia kashuk one it's a really pretty shade. I think the MUFE one is a little pricey for me but I'm glad to hear that the sonia kashuk one is comparable.
