Come with me as I share a little of my morning routine:
Being a blogger means you have late nights and early mornings, so
this morning means a 6 am wake up call, complete with coffee. I spend the next
couple of hours reading and responding to emails, social media, and visiting
blogs, including mine! Do you do that too?
Charlie finally wakes up when he hears me fixing breakfast.
Typical! We go for his morning walk and then it's time for me to get ready for
my other job--taking care of two sweet girls.
Before I apply any makeup, I have to put on my moisturizer. If you
aren't using moisturizer, start now.
I've been using Olay Fresh Effects {Dew Over!} Hydrating Gel Moisturizer and it is so good. It's infused with essence of honeysuckle and
white tea – a detox recipe that gives skin a refreshed look in order to face
the day, from late nights to early mornings.
I love the scent of it and the way it just melts into my skin.
It's a gel moisturizer, so it feels refreshing (oily skin will love this too!)
and wakes me right on up. I am up late and I don't sleep well, but I have to be
ready to play at work, and I can't look tired. This has been my secret to
looking awake.
After moisturizer, I finish my look with foundation, concealer,
mascara, and a lip crayon. I purposely kept my makeup natural today, so you can
see the glow I get from the Dew Over Gel Moisturizer. I instantly
look awake, because when a full eight hours isn’t possible, Fresh
Effects delivers
the look of beauty sleep in an instant. I run my fingers through my hair and
then it's time to go--my mornings go by so fast. Now, I'm off to face the day!

their partnership with POPSUGAR. While I was compensated by POPSUGAR to write a
post about Olay Fresh Effects, all opinions are my own.
I have never used an gel moisturizer before. I check my own blog in the morning too. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteYou are super cute, but I LOVE Charlie. SOOOOO cute.
ReplyDeleteWe share the same approach. I spent two hours daily after waking on the computer, blogging and reading online. It eases my mind into the day. I don't do your makeup routine -- but wish I could!
ReplyDeleteUmm can we just talk about how adorable Charlie is?!? Love his cute little face! And I definitely need to try your moisturizer. Mine doesn't seem to be cutting it with this drier air! Happy Friday!

I've never tried a gel moisturizer - thanks for the tip!!
ReplyDeleteI am just thankful that I can do a majority of my morning and late night blogging in my nice warm bed. :)
ReplyDeleteYell at me.. I never used moisturizer - it always breaks my face out. I need to find a good one that works for me & my old wrinkly skin :)
ReplyDeleteGreat morning routine! I have never used gel moisturizer before but it really looks good! Maybe I should try and find one myself!
ReplyDeleteYour face is flawless, like ivory porcelain. And Charlie is a beauty. Looks like she loves that comfy bed. =)
ReplyDeleteYour skin looks great!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat moisturizer sounds amazing! Feels like the last thing I do at night and first thing in the morning is check out blogs lol!
ReplyDeleteI have always been a huge fan of Olay. Actually been using ONLY their products before getting into beauty blogging. I have never tried that moisturizer though but definitely will be picking that up next.
ReplyDeleteReflection of Sanity
I've never used gel moisturizer before. I didn't even know it was a thing. This is exactly why I am not a makeup or any sort of beauty blogger.
ReplyDeleteI do use Olay moisturizer, though, and I love it. It's definitely the best one I've ever used.
You look so fresh faced and beautiful! I totally start every morning with social media catch up and blog reading. Thanks for sharing your routine, yet another product I must try thanks to your tips!

I have this Olay product and love it. I can definitely see how dewy your face looks, which is great.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Olay in the morning, but I've been using a tone corrector of theirs at night. My skin is sensitive, but it might be something that would work for me!
ReplyDeleteI don´t know what honeysuckle is but it sounds delicious! :-) XOXO, Sissi www.beauty4free2u.com
ReplyDeleteThat moisturizer sounds really good - think I'll try it when I run out of my Neutrogena!
ReplyDeleteThe gel moisturizer sounds great! I'm sure it would be good for my combination skin.
ReplyDeleteSounds like my morning. That sounds like a good moisturizer. Love that it has honeysuckle in it.
ReplyDeleteI need to check this out since I LOVE the Philosophy Gel Moisturizer that I have been using since May! I check my emails in the AM and read blogs during my lunch break. I work on my posts at night.
ReplyDeleteI like to wait until as late as possible to wake up, and then put on some make up very quickly. I need to get better about using moisturizer; it's definitely a necessity in the winter months!
ReplyDeleteyour puppy is TOO CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm adding that to my list of gel moisturizers to try, so far this one and the Clinique one. I use and love the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath one, but I love to try other stuff too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start the day! Coffee and loved ones, and a good moisturizer. I will have to check that one out. Have a great weekend!

I wish I had the kind of motivation to wake up at 6 am! I usually check out the social media sphere for about half an hour in the mornings, lunch time and then late evenings and intermittently throughout the day. I do have a full time job so I should probably try to carve out more time outside of work hours but I am just not a morning person, lol. :-)
ReplyDeleteCharlie is adorable!!! So cute! I am about to purchase some Olay stuff to sub in for night time moisturizer and maybe an eye cream so I will have to look at that one too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found a moisturizer you like so much! It sounds like a good one. :) As a side note... I mentioned you on my blog today. :)
ReplyDeleteI love gel moisturizers a lot :) Nice post dear..
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I like gel moisturisers too

Oh my lord, you look fantastic! Like a youthful glowing little sprite of good deed and sprinkles! Count me in on this moisturizer! I use the Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine, Go Away cleanser in the mornings and it keeps my oily skin under control better during the day. I could not have survived summer without it!
ReplyDeleteYour skin looks amazing! I'll have to look into this line.

ReplyDeleteYou look great! Now I am curious, I have to check out if that moisturizer is sold here too...
ReplyDeleteIt's so sweet that Charlie actually sleeps in until he hears the sound of breakfast. Wish my boy did the same - instead he wakes me up as soon as possible. :)

Loved reading about your morning routine. I travel often for my day job so sometimes my routine gets out of whack. I haven't tried gel moisturizer before but I've now added it to my beauty list. Charlie is so cute, as always.
