1-Creamy Coconut Mask--My "secret" moisturizing mask that is the cheapest beauty product around. Perfect for post NYE, just saying. Get it at Walmart.
2- OPI My Voice is a Little Norse--Choosing one polish was impossible, so I picked my favorite glitter one, and this is it. You saw it on my NYE Makeup, Hair, Nails post.
3-L'Oreal Butterfly Mascara--I want the longest, biggest lashes (and the biggest wand apparently) so I was drawn to this (as I am all L'Oreal mascaras).
4-Revlon Lip Balm Stains--This wins year after year because I love the ease of lip crayons. I prefer the original and matte versions of this. See more lip crayon reviews here.
5-Garnier BB Cream--Not everyone's fave, but this is my list and this is my favorite drugstore BB cream, and I've tried just about all of them. See drugstore reviews here and high end reviews here.
6-MAC Rocky Horror Picture Show in Strange Journey--So I have a thing for red lipsticks, and this one is a bright orange red. It's my fave red and it's sold out everywhere. Officially on dupe hunting alert!
7-Neutrogena Triple Repair Mask--In the winter and in the summer, I turn to this hair mask. If I really need extra help, I'll pop on a shower cap over my masked-hair and leave on 30 min. #doublemask
8-Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks--I LOVE these lipsticks--give me any color. If you have found matte lipsticks too drying (aka MAC Ruby Woo, another fave red) try these in any shade.
9-Tarte Pin Up Blush--So this was a limited edition palette, with a blush for everyone, but don't fret: all Tarte Amazonian blushes are stellar.
10-Bare Minerals Bare Skin Brightening Serum Foundation--If you have dry or normal skin, give this a try. You can use a drop or more depending on the coverage you seek. This looks great on camera, fellow bloggers. I was given samples but ended up buying more because I loved it. See my review here.
11-Lorac Mega Pro--This is hands-down my favorite eye shadow palette, but since it's sold out, try the original Lorac Pro or the Pro 2. All are very, very good.
12-Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner--Because sometimes I need a quick clean or disinfection for my brushes...this is fast, easy, and leaves your brushes smelling amazing. Love this stuff.
13-Sigma E40--Every single eye tutorial of mine uses this. It's what I use to blend out my shadows. My favorite eye brush.
14-NuMe Wand--How do I get those waves? I use this wand (loose waves tutorial here). I prefer the larger size and still use it in my much shorter hair.
Which products are your faves for 2014?
Dude, I LOVE the Sigma e40. I use it every single day- I'm thinking about picking up a few more so I can have extras on hand!

ReplyDeleteI love all the colors OPI comes out with and I'll have to try your recommendation for the butterfly mascara! Always trying to achieve bigger and bolder lashes!!!

I don't claim to understand the structure of the universe but I believe there's some cosmic connection between us. I was thinking about you this morning. Hoping you'll have a good New Year. And at the same time, unknown to me, you were visiting and commenting on my blog. Coincidence? Maybe...
ReplyDeleteWonderful products, good choice. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely greets Nessa
Such a cute post idea! Definitely going to check them out!
ReplyDeleteI love post like this because I like what works best for others! I've been looking for a wand so I'll have to check that one out!

The Neutrogena hair mask is so good! I need to get on the wand bandwagon. I still use a regular curling iron.
ReplyDeleteI love that you give me stuff I can actually afford!!! Thank you. Can't wait to try some of these:)
ReplyDeleteI love this collection of suggestions, Elle! I continue to learn so much from this blog. I have wanted to try a purple-hued lipstick, but didn't want to spend a lot (in case I don't care for this shade on me). Will give Maybelline's Creamy Matte a go (hopefully, they have a violet or purple shade). :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY going to pick up that mask - NYE is hell for my skin, so I can use all the moisture I can get my hands on :) Thanks for posting awesome and affordable products - can't wait to read your blog in 2015!!! <3
ReplyDeleteLove this list. Those masks are my fave budget buy, too. They are just awesome!
ReplyDeleteLoreal, maybelline and revlon are the winners in 2014...... great compilation Elle............
ReplyDeleteI loved number 9, the blushes! I normally pass the brush all over blushes like that, to mix the colors :) I have some favorite products in 2014, like the Melvita extraordinary waters, Chanel lipsticks, Percy & Reed hair balm... and already with a wishlist for January! Happy new year, Elle, hope you have an amazing new year's eve!

I have that L'Oreal mascara in my drawer, so I look forward to opening it! I am also a fan of the Garnier bb cream (well, the oily skin version, but still), and wear it all summer long.
ReplyDeleteOh I see so many things in this list that I want to try. I really need to try the mask because I love doing masks but I need to try new ones and I've seen that one at walmart before so I might just try it next time I go there. I also have been on the lookout for a new mascara and I've been seeing that one in magazines so I'll probably try it out, I have a hard time trying new beauty products because I get scared to try new things. But when I read that you like them I feel like maybe it will be ok. hehe :)
ReplyDeleteNina
Must get my hands on the Creamy Coconut Mask! It even sounds heavenly. I love lip crayons as well, Revlon's especially. They just SO easy to use - ease of a balm, precision of a liner. Everybody wins! :) Can't wait to get my Garnier BB Cream out this summer! I'm too light for it right now, but I love it when I have some color. Have you tried the BB Cream from Lumene? It's super amazeballs. I tried to click for a link to your drugstore BB post but I don't think it's linked - or it's user error (quite possible).
ReplyDeletenice favs.. i love maybelline matte lippies too :) will pick up few from your favorite list to try out :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Garnier BB Cream!! It's my favorite!
