Buy + Try: March Makeup Reviews

Hey you! I hope your weekend was just wonderful! Is it looking like spring where you are? Are you doing any spring cleaning? I did--sorta--I recently went through my drawers and cabinets and realized I had quite a few things I've not shared on here! Plus, I haven't made a video in a few weeks, so I combined both ideas and am doing a Buy and Try! I'll be sharing brief reviews of all sorts of things. Be sure to check out the video for more details on everything!

Brush Tree--Got this on EBay! Hang your makeup brushes upside down to dry.
Better Home & Gardens Candles--$4.97 at Walmart. Not bad. The colors match my living room! The scents are Warm, Rustic Woods and Creamy Tahitian Coconut.

Maybelline Fit ME Powder and Foundation--The foundation is for normal to dry skin (me) so I loved it. I'm wearing it in the video. There's a matte version too.
Garnier Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser--Removed my waterproof mascara wonderfully. I've been wearing a lot of it lately and this didn't irritate my eyes.
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hr Foundation--Satin finish and full-coverage
Koh Den Do--Moisture Foundation that's more like a tinted moisturizer. Gives a great natural glow but PRICEY.

Jordana Matte Lipsticks--I like the one of the gold packaging the best.
Milani Matte--I originally shared them here, but I love them.
Rimmel Colour Finish Lip Crayon--Not bad and moisturizes lips.
Hard Candy All Glossed Up Lip Crayons--Recently shared here.
Wet N Wild Mega Pump Double Menace Mascara--Has 2 different wands for top and bottom lashes.
Milani Lip Liner, Brow Felt Tip Pen, Eyeliner--Didn't like the brow pen, but liked the rest.

Studio 35 Beauty Exfoliating Premium Facial Cleansing Pads--Didn't like the exfoliating side but loved the original of these. Shared here with other hidden gems at the drugstore!
Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer--Didn't make my skin poreless or hide anything, but it did make my foundation last longer.
Revo Lip Balms--Love these better and they're less expensive versions of the EOS ones. These are part of the spring collection.
Trader Joe's Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm--A non-greasy balm that can be used all over. Has a slight grit to it but is more waxy than moisturizing.
Trader Joe's Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover--If you wear light makeup, as in not waterproof mascara, not crazy eye looks, you'll like these gentle wipes. They are scented but the wipes are good quality.

Check out my full review of everything pictured!

Extra Elle--
Spent Saturday out and about with Charlie since the weather was so good. We found a "secret" park and explored because Piedmont Park was too crowded. Sunday it was rainy and I got lost (typical) and found an Indian Mall. It was awesome seeing all of the different items I knew nothing about. I was googling everything! I love that about Atlanta--all of the different pockets geared towards different nationalities. I've been to Hispanic and Asian Malls here, but this was new! I'll be back.

  2. That brush tree sounds pretty awesome! So much better than just laying my brushes down to dry which takes forever!

  4. That brush tree looks like something I need. I would love to get lost in Atlanta one day, just to discover all of the wonderful little neighborhoods that I don't know about.

  6. You have so many beauty products, which is understandable given your interest and blogging about them. I wonder what you do with those you dislike or don't use. Do you toss 'em or is there someway to give them away?

  7. I love videos like this. That's disappointing about the Ken Doh.

  9. I love the way you displayed our lip products, so pretty.

That primer sounds good, I'm on the look out for anew one so I'll have to check it out. That and the wipes, since I don't use waterproof mascara. Thanks for the tips, lady!

  20. A brush tree?!?!? Who even knew such a thing existed!!!!
What a fun place to shop where you have to google everything - that's for the adventurous :)

  21. The makeup tree is such a good idea. I want to try the Maybelline foundation, I need a more dewy look the one I ma using now is more matte and dry. I found the same thing with the Rimmel Primer, staying power but no reduction in pores. So nice you two got out and about and found a new place to explore!

  22. I need that brush tree! Maybe it would get me to wash my brusehs more haha

  24. Elle, someday I'd like to come over to your house and see the amount of makeup you have. I'm so sure I'll have a heart attack since I can't hoard more than 5 lipsticks at a time!! How do you store everything btw??

  25. The FIT Me makeup makes my faces super greasy. I tried it hoping to find affordable, yet decent, foundation and powder.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun exploring this weekend. Here's to a great week!

  26. Wow, lots of goodies here! The brush tree sounds like an intriguing concept, as do some of the new(er) drugstore foundations. I love the Milani matte lipsticks - glad you're a fan, too!

  27. I really loved that "brush tree"! I think it's a great help - you said it's to dry brushes, but I would use it for them to stand, anyway! I totally agree with you on the Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer - no apparent improvement, but it left my skin moisturized. The Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hr Foundation is excellent! I love it, and forgot to wear it lately... but it's really good!

  28. I wonder how that brush tree compares to the Benjabelle? What's the top bit sticking up for? Double sided brushes? :-)

  29. Pretty lipsticks. My daughter would want them all. She's more into makeup than I am.

  30. The Indian mall sounds really neat! I love all the different products that you try.

  31. The brush tree is a great idea...but I don't have room for it on my vanity!! I do need to find a good primer and I love my Rimmell mascara. Maybe I'll try this one!!

  32. I love all the Cinderella items you got, especially the lip colors! I wish I could wear a lighter lip color by itself, too, but I look too washed out. The one you have on in the video is gorgeous!

  37. nice favorites..i wanted to try Garnier makeup removing lotion cleanser but it is not available in india yet :(

  38. I am loving the Milani lip stuff I picked up last week! Every time I am at Walgreens, I see their version of the EOS lip balm and I always wondered if it was equivalent because the EOS stuff is great, but it doesn't seem like it lasts more than just a few minutes but since you said this was better...I need to try it!!!!

Also, the Garnier makeup removing lotion cleanser sounds awesome. Have you tried their night lifting cream? I got a sample of it in a magazine a few weeks ago...but it is hard to tell with one try to see if it is any good or not. It felt good the one night I used it though. And that is what I miss about Atlanta....all the cool things like asian or mexican grocery stores and just more culture in general. And when you said Piedmont Park I could instantly picture myself there! :) Have a great week!
