New Beach Beauty Products

As you are reading this, I am headed to the beach for a week! It's time for my annual girls' trip! No hubs, boyfriends, kids, etc. allowed! But don't worry, I've got a few posts lined up that you'll enjoy--starting with my post from earlier today. Did you miss it?

But back to the beach! After over a month of reviewing, I wanted to share with you some of items I'm packing (or am using before I go #beachprep) that you might want to check out! These are good, y'all. Now off to finish packing for the beach...

Whish Sugar Scrub in Blue Agave--This is excellent for prepping skin for shaving and for self-tanning! Found at ULTA stores (and online). All Whish Products are Paraben Free, Sulfate Free, TEA & DEA Free, and Petrochemical Free and are all natural. In addition, Whish uses organic ingredients whenever and wherever possible, to create a luxuriously indulgent and soothingly moisturizing experience. $38

Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter--Ireland and the UK's best-selling fake tan which has won multiple beauty awards. Get a natural-looking tan in 1 hour with this easy-to-apply mousse. Tan lasts around 5-7 days.  Vegetable derived DHA and No Parabens. Find it online at www.rickysnyc.com. $13.99

Tommy Bahama Mineral Sport Sunscreen Lotion in Natural Coconut--This new line of sunscreens, by my fave COOLA, comes in different scents and levels of SPF. This one is water resistant for 80 minutes and is 50 broad spectrum SPF. It's thin and didn't break me out. It's not strong with the coconut scent, which I wish I did. $4-$16Sec

Agadir Argan Oil Collection--I don't have room in my bag for all of this, but wanted to share it with you so you can find the products that work for you! These products make your hair soft, which is very needed after a day at the beach. Agadir has a full range including styling, treatment, and cleansing products. I also suggest using the heat shield treatment and masque before going into the sun to avoid fading hair color. $6.99-$51, depending on the product. http://www.agadirint.com/products/

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Cleansing Balm--This line can do no wrong! I've been a longtime fan of her products and this one did not disappoint. The soothing, ultra-concentrated body wash is formulated with 100% Pure Argan Oil, whipped into a creamy cleansing butter to add intense hydration and incredible softness to skin, with a light Vanilla Apricot fragrance. Organic shea butter and aloe juice moisturize and protect sensitive and irritated skin, preserving the skin's natural moisture barrier. http://www.josiemarancosmetics.com/whipped-argan-oil-body-cleansing-butter.html#.VVkTZmC4lmA $34

Lauren B Beauty Polish in Coachella Valley Sun--I love a bright color on my toes when I'm at the beach and thought this was fun to try. The advanced, quick-drying nail enamels deliver a chip-resistant, long-lasting, mirror-like finish. The brush is packed with twice the standard amount of bristles, all pre-lacquered so your polish glides on smoothly and streak-free. The bottle has a special over-cap, so you can use a square or cylindrical handle for more control. Bonus: Each formula is eco- and vegan-friendly (with no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene or camphor), and proudly made in the USA. Get it here. $18

Sun Bum Sea Spray--I've used their sunscreen and was delighted to try this sea spray. Lightweight formula instantly thickens hair cuticle for added volume and hold. Nourishes hair and gives it a healthy, voluptuous feel. Provides moisture control to eliminate frizz. Safe for all hair types and lengths. Medium hold with a matte finish. Instantly seals hair's cuticle, blocking out frizz-causing humidity. Leaves hair with texture and style that lasts all day. Provides UV Color Protection. I love the volume it gives (use in roots) and how it's not sticky but matte. $14.99 at ULTA and online

Secret Outlast Deodorant--Next to sunscreen, I think an antiperspirant is a must, am I right? And I happen to like mine clear at the beach. Secret just released a new formula for their Outlast line. You can easily find these in mass retailers nation-wide. It offers 48-hour protection, so it's great for the gym!

Pack a Hat by Cappelli Straworld--I thought this was so cute and great for the beach! A cute tote-style miniature wristlet bag in summery stripes contains within it a stylish and matching packable sun hat with a 4 ½ inch brim. The added benefit of its UPF 50+ rating is a huge health and anti-aging beauty bonus. and with May as melanoma awareness month, we are all reminded of sun protection importance. It comes in different colors for $25. Free shipping for you here.

Extra Elle:
  • OMG what did you think of Mad Men last night? I can't believe it's over!
  • I spent the weekend dealing with internet connection issues (boo) so Sunday had me working triple time to get all my work done. I made it a goal not to bring my computer on this trip. Relaxation only!
  • I am boarding Charlie, so keep him in your thoughts. A dog in Atlanta came down with canine flu over the weekend, and I am worried, since being around other dogs increases his risk. It will be fine, right?
Check back Wednesday 7pm EST for a new post!

I would love to try some like the Whish Sugar Scrub, cause I am a fan of scrubs and the Josie Maran whipped Argan Oil Body Cleansing Balm, cause I love organic products and with vanilla scent and also, cause I have sensitive skin and it would be good for me. The sea spray would also be very nice to try! I hope you have a lot of fun with friends and that you enjoy the sea!

Sending Charlie good vibes! I've been worried about sending our dogs to get groomed with all the talk of canine flu. I'm sure the boarding place will do all they can to prevent anything spreading if it gets in there.

  46. Thank you so much for sharing these, Elle! You know, oddly enough, CB tan isn't so easy to come about over here (and I practically live in natural beauty shops!) and this is the first time I've heard of it. Will definitely try to find and try this one. Enjoy your break! x

  47. Elle, girl you sold me on that scrub. I can't wait to pick that up and try it out. It should definitely be useful before I shave which is so boring to me lol. Great post and products girl.

  53. does that sea spray leave your hair feeling dry and a little stiff/crunchy? I'm finding that problem with all texturizing sprays that I try.
