LUNA comes in 3 styles--for combo skin, sensitive skin, and normal-dry (pictured). Each has a different color to it and the silicone brush pattern is different. This silicone, battery-powered cleaner uses pulsations to gently remove dead skin cells as well as makeup residue.
It is waterproof, lasts up to 450 uses per full charge and requires no replacement brushes. You'll notice the plus and minus on the bottom, which allows you to adjust the speed of the pulsation.
On the back you'll see the Anti-Aging mode. It uses lower-frequency pulsations to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I've not used this long enough to see results for this feature but it feels nice.
How do you use it?
Apply cleanser, wet the LUNA, and turn it on. It will stop for a second and that's how you know to move it to another area of your face. This takes about two minutes. After cleansing your face, use the reverse side for the anti-aging mode.
Does it work?
My skin was clean and smooth after using. I did not break out from using LUNA. I really liked it.
Why do I need this?
If you've tried brushes and didn't like them, or disliked having to clean the brush heads (take a look--it is gross under there) and replace them, try LUNA.
It is travel-friendly, thanks to the size (there is a mini version) and compactness.
Where do I get it?

Extra Elle:
- Atlanta had its first heat wave of the year. Saturday, I stayed in a hotel room and the a/c quit. I was moved to another room. Same thing. Then the air went out in my apt. TWICE. Then the car and then the restaurant I went to escape the heat from lost its air. Just call me AC KILLA.
- Just finished the audiobook of Grace, by Grace Coddington. It was good and she has some awesome stories from the fashion world and her years at Vogue. She's in her 70s and isn't afraid to tell it like it is.
I've seen these little gadgets and wondered how they worked! I have a Clarisonic and I love it but sometimes it can be a bit drying. Maybe when my Clarisonic dies I'll give this one a try!

ReplyDeleteThe number of uses it lasts is pretty amazing! Sounds nifty! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI think I might have to try this. I love my Clarisonic but it's such a pain to travel with.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, travel friendly and effective brush!

I love the idea of not needing to replace brush heads. This looks life a great product for getting a cleaner face!
ReplyDeleteLook at that cute little thing. Def looks travel friendly, and it works well?! Thanks for the review
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute. I received one recently and still have to try it.

Well this is an interesting little cleaner! I like that you dont have to replace the brush heads and that they make it for different skin types. We aren't all the same! Do you like this better than the clarisonic?
ReplyDeleteGirl...it is SO HOT! I mean even today....It was unbearable at 8AM this morning...I dont want to see what noon is going to be like!
This is such an interesting product i wud hv loved to try it..
ReplyDeleteI have seen this gadget popping up everywhere recently! Good to know that it works and I like that I don't have to repave the brush every 3 months or so.

I like how they have different ones for each skin type! I woud love to try something like this!! And how crazy about all the AC breaking!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice product. I have never try any cleansing brushes before.

I wasn't even sure how you use this thing... interesting!
ReplyDeleteI bet this feels absolutely fantastic (especially once you're home and out of the humidity and need a deep scrub!).
ReplyDeleteYES! so happy you liked it! i've been thinking about buying one for months.. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try one of these!
ReplyDeleteI find myself loving my Clarisonic a little less these days. It works really well and leaves my skin feeling really clean, but I always forget to charge it. I rarely take it out of my shower and I hate going to use it only to find out it's dead. The replacement heads are also expensive and cleaning them is bothersome. I might have to save up for this!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness you ARE the AC killer... that's crazy! Although I'm happy just washing my face without a brush or anything, this sounds and looks like something that would feel really good on the skin!
ReplyDeleteJust started using this and so far I love it!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing this everywhere! I would love to try it so I don't have to keep replacing Clarisonic brush heads!

This sounds like a nice gadget! I don't like the cleansing brushes, so this sounds like a winner to me!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of adorable! Is it weird that I still just use my hands/fingers with face wash to cleanse my face?
ReplyDeleteJust ordered mine as well and can't wait to give it a try!

This gadget is super cute, I wonder if it'll work better than my Clarisonic Mia.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your AC troubles, that must have been so frustrating! Hope you're nice and cool now ;-)
I've never tried one of these! Most of them are pricey and my skin is soo sensitive, so I've always been apprehensive. It's nice that they have a special 'sensitive skin' version!

I am very curious about this one. I never wanted Clarisonic because it is pretty harsh on the skin and strips it out of all the goodness, but if this one is more gentle, it sounds like a better option to try. Also I never realised that there are three version of Luna. Fab review! x
ReplyDeleteThis looks so gentle and perfect! I had been debating for a while over getting a clarisonic but this looks like it's so much easier on the skin!
ReplyDeleteThis Luna seems to be great! No break outs - excellent; and pulsation is a good thing! Also, waterproof and with 3 ways - I would take the sensitive skin one - I think it's a great invention! I am so much looking for something different and now I think I found it here! Thanks for sharing it, will try to find it soon!

Wow this is the first time I'm seeing this device, it sounds awesome and it's so cute. I need to look into to it because I don't like the face brushes. Oh and by the way I feel yah about the heat, here in California it's really hot and our AC is broken so I know the pain!

I have a little hand-held brush similar to what this looks like, but I'm not sure where it is after I moved. It was so soft and never hurt my sensitive skin. I'll have to look into this. Love the idea of now having to continuously spend money on replacement brushes!

OK, I really want to try this right now. If you say that my skin will love it, I believe you. I think it will be great to take away the dead skin leftover for Winter. Thanks so much for reccomending this.
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about this since the first time I saw it forever ago! Great review! It definitely sounds like something I would enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI have the Foreo Mini and I love it. At first I was like is this really doing anything for my skin? But the more I used it, I realized how much more I liked using the Luna rather than the cleansing brushes. The reason I purchased the Luna was because I was tired of shelling out money overland over again for the brush heads. With the Luna, I don't have to do that PLUS it seems to be a lot more cleaner than those brush heads....
