Loving Lately: Raspberry Lips

Raspberry lips are totally having a moment. And I'm in love. Think: more wearable than red or fuchsia, and not as dark as berry. The latest beauty trend has a bit more purple or blue mixed in to give a fresh look to the traditional raspberry red. Raspberry lips are a perfect color to finish the summer with and work for every skin tone, just choose a shade that works for you. I've got a few options that will work for you (and budget)!



For the matte lip lover:
1-MAC Flat Out Fabulous--one of my favorite lipsticks and is what you'll see the most of in this post! This is a matte that is such a beautiful color. Not into MAC prices? Try NYX for a comparable shade.

For those who don't wear makeup:
2-Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Lovesick--Want the easiest way to apply this color? Try a lip crayon. Jordana Cosmetics has an even cheaper version--look for that at Walgreens or online.

For those who want intense color:
3-Two Faced Melted in Jelly--This has a metallic finish but there are also the original Melted Lipsticks that pack a punch in pigmentation. Say that three times fast! ;)

For the gloss lover:
4-NYX Butter Gloss in Sugar Cookie--This is another favorite of mine. It can be built up for maximum color or worn lightly. It is so pretty on. If this is too purple for you, try Strawberry Parfait.

For the beauty collector:
5-Mirabella Colour Vinyl Lipstick in Lavender Lustre--Not only does this look great on darker skin tones, but it is full of quality products, including raspberry extract! This color lasts all day and is worthy of the $26 price tag.

  • My friends and I set out to try a new burger place recently. It wasn't that great, so we had a "do-over" at another new place, and it was great. I'm officially burgered-out for a few months, I think! The four of us split a s'mores shake that was heavenly. Did you see the pic on Insta?

    Im really loving this colour. I used to be afraid of such bright bold colours and now I just embrace it!

    Raspberry is such a pretty color!! I don't think I have any lip color near it, maybe I will grab that NYX one next time I am at Target if they have it :) I don't think I have ever been burgered out in my life. I wish I could say that I have haha!

    I love this look! MAC Flat Out Fabulous sounds awesome. A s'mores shake definitely does sound heavenly, too. There's a place around here that makes a toasted marshmallow shake that's one of my all-time faves.

    I think it is a great color on you. I tend to stick with nudes but the NYX color looks fabulous so might have to give it a try.

    That color looks great on you! I rarely wear anything on my lips, but if I do then it's a pinky/nude color or rich red (thanks to a recommendation from you, actually!). :)

    I love this color! I have that Revlon lip crayon in a bubblegum color and I love it! I've also been wanting to try MAC lipstick for a while. So I need to pick one of those up! (Also a s'mores shake sounds HEAVENLY.)
