NEW! It Cosmetics Blurred Lines

"I hate lipstick!" my friend Jess proclaimed through crunches of popcorn while gesturing at a lipstick ad in a magazine. Lipstick was so bold, drying, frosty, and made her think of something her Granny would wear. No thanks, she was a gloss girl only.

While the conversation went on I quietly disappeared into The Beauty Room, grabbed a box I was sent and rejoined the group.

I opened the box like it was full of chocolates. These lipsticks were inside:







"Oooh! What's that?" "Is this new?" began the chorus. Since I had given them free reign through my monthly beauty discards, this new box of items grabbed their curiosity.

So what are these lipsticks?

Blurred Lines by It Cosmetics, and they're for those of you who aren't into lipstick.

They're full of lip-loving ingredients including Collagen, Peptides, Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, Shea Butter, Jojoba and Grape Seed Extract. At $24, they are an investment, but easy to justify when you find that shade that matches you, that becomes your everyday, this-goes-with-everything lipstick.

I like how the shades range in very natural (like Love) to those with more pigmentation (like It Girl). Two of the shades have a bit of sparkle in the tube but it doesn't appear on lips (Ruby Slippers).

My fave feature--the hydration and slickness/shininess of gloss without the stickiness. Just natural. Perfect for the cooler months, too.

So how did my friends like them? They're fans, even Jess! She liked how fast it was to apply, the fact that she got moisture but with pigmentation and shine. She said it's kind of like a lip stain in how it looked, but it didn't stain the lips. Yes!

    I like how sheer these are. They remind me of something like a Maybelline Color Whisper or Revlon Lip Butter!

    So nice! I know many gals like makeup that doesn't call attention to itself but that isn't a problem: they're lots of stuff like these beauties that are enhancing and almost invisible.

    I use to hate lipstick too, but once I discovered some formulas that didn't make me feel like I had granny lips, I got more into them! These it cosmetics sound nice, I'll have to try them sometime!

    The shades are pretty but judging from the swatches, they are sheer so I would probably skip these because I personally love my lipsticks to be bold.

    I'm pretty sure my heart stopped when I read the "I hate lipstick." I've only ever tried the Bye Bye Redness and I was not a fan. I see their stuff when I'm in Ulta, but I've never tried anything else. Those colors are so pretty though!

    What is the Starbucks Frappula?? I saw some girl order it this morning and I was like huh? When it came out it looked like maybe strawberries and chocolate? Do tell!!

    Those lipsticks sound fabulous!!! I am more a gloss girl but I would love to try one of these! Maybe they will have me falling in love!

    Do they sell these in stores anywhere?! (So I could pick a shade for myself.) Jess and I agree about lipsticks. I shy away from them just because I haven't normally worn them, but I think I could get past that. The drying is what really gets to me though!

    Ohh these sound wonderful! You can just tell from the swatches alone that they're going to feel nice on the lips! Definitely will keep my eye out to give these a try!

    I have heard so many people say "I hate Lipstick" just like your friend. My sister-in-law is one of them. I, on the contrary, love lipstick, it is my most favorite makeup piece. It can also be an accessory, particularly red or berry lips. I want to try this case. I would have opened it like a box of chocolate. I always want to try new lipsticks so this is perfect. 24$ each they are pricey, but let me ask you if you purchase the whole box do you get a better deal on each? Please let me know. Thanks.

    I used to be into only lip gloss and hated lipstick and thought it was for old ladies... but, just in the last year I have been really getting into lipstick! I am so interested in these lipsticks, I love the idea of a lipstick/lip gloss!

    Is it sad that I'd don't even know what a Frapula is?! Probably. These lipsticks sound great. As much as I want to be a girl who wears lipstick, more often than not I'm a gloss girl.
