- I feel like the only person not into Star Wars! #fomo!
- I've been off work this week and have been such a slacker. I *think* I'm caught up on visiting blogs. Let me know if I haven't stopped by in a while.
- Today I'm packing to head back home for the holidays! Follow me on Snapchat @ellesees to see my family.
I think 3 years is enough with ipsy lol - you get so many great products, no need for this box!! I'm not a star wars fan either...and if I go see the movie it's only because of my husband! Love the earbuds in the fab fit fun box! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the Ipsy bags eversince the first one I got was empty, so I don't blame you at all for stopping your subscription. Those FabFitFun boxes look amazing from all of the unboxing that I have seen. Might have to jump on the bandwagon!

Thanks for sharing you last Ipsy bag and this box by FabFitFun. I think all the pieces are great and considering trying it. Safe travels back home Elle and have a wonderful Christmas! :)

I love the earbuds with a bit of rose gold on them! I'm not into Star Wars either, I tried to watch one of the movies on DVD this weekend and I fell asleep after about 40 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a friend who raved about ipsy. When I saw what she was getting a was very under whelmed. She had brands like elf, NYX, Pacifica, and some no names. My response was "you know you can buy all of this at Target right?" I think for someone who is younger, or just getting into makeup, it's a great idea. But I can totally see why you're underwhelmed. No to mention opened nail polish? Ew.
ReplyDeleteHave a Merry Christmas Elle! <3
love the fabfitfun box! i got it for a while but that one looks cute! esp for those earbuds. i never liked getting the "gift cards" or discount cards either. i was never gonna shop there ha.

I've had the first few days off this week & I am out of my blogging routine myself. But I go back to work tomorrow - on Christmas Eve -BOO! Bah Humbug
ReplyDeleteI have heard so many wonderful things about FabFitFun, I really need to check it out. Looks like a great box! Have a wonderful time at home for the holidays! Adding you on Snap now! :)

A Blonde's Moment
That is a great final bag with ipsy! I used to have a subscription when the company first started, but I didn't use most of the products. I do love the bags and still use them in my purse or when I'm traveling!
ReplyDeleteI also got the fabfitfun box. I love those ear buds and the reed diffuser already.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year Elle!
I've had Ipsy for a year and a half and am debating whether or not to stop. I also got the primer and lip color! You got so many great things in your FabFitFun box! I might have to try that one!

I like that palette, it looks like it has pretty colors!!! The only subscription box I do is Allure because I feel like I get my $15 worth and actually use all the samples. I cancelled Julep because I just don't need that much polish! I hoe you have fun with your family! Safe travels and Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame the Formula X nail polish arrived dried up. I don't blame you for canceling the subscription. I love the color of the Zoya nail polish...very festive and perfect for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteThe palette that you got from ipsy is gorgoues! I canceled mine a while ago. I enjoy watching unboxing videos for the fab fit fun ones!! I'm not into Star Wars either, and have a safe trip home for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI must admit that Michelle Phan palette from Ipsy looks really really good to me:) And Elle, even if you're not into Star Wars, I think you'll love this movie. I'm a huge fan so I might be a bit biased, but JJ Abrams did really well with this episode.
ReplyDeleteI cancelled too but I'm really not too impressed with my Play! By Sephora subscription either...the palette looks nice. In the Fab Fit Fun box the fingerless gloves are cute!
ReplyDeleteI've managed to stay away from subscription boxes, and I don't think I will ever take the plunge. Going to Ulta and Sephora and picking out the stuff myself is lots of fun all on it's own.
ReplyDeleteI'm also not a big Star Wars fan but I went to see it this past weekend. It was good but a lot of it didn't make sense to me. Not to mention all of the die hard fans were clapping all thought the movie when familiar actors popped up on the screen. It was silly.
WOW you got some great things in your last Ipsy. I am loving the makeup palette. It has similar colors to the first Urban Decay "Naked" palette which I love. Also, Acure has great products which you recommend all the time too. I want to try that facial mask. I must say the little red makeup bag was perfect for this festive month, too.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Elle Belle!
You got some great things! I love the palette in your ipsy bag and those gloves in the other box!
ReplyDeletexo,

The em cosmetics palette is gorgeous. I cancelled my Ipsy a few months ago. I just wasn't pleased with the items I was receiving. I'd rather put my $10 towards something else. I'm not into Star Wars either. The little boys I babysit are and they try to teach me, but I can never remember all the characters names. Safe travels home!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great things in that FabFitFun box, but I'm confused #4: are those just special promo codes that you can get online? To be honest, I stopped my ipsy box after a couple months because I just wasn't home enough, and did not use 3 of the products that I was sent in each, so I don't blame you for cancelling.
ReplyDeleteChristmastide
I feel like gift or discount codes are such a "cheat"--a way to give you something without actually giving you an item. Boo. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of canceling my Ipsy subscription when it's done in April too. I feel like I never use the samples anymore. I love the Zoya nail polish in your FabFitFun box-looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually pretty happy with my Ipsy bag this month! I had considered cancelling for a little while, but since I like my bag this time, I'm keeping it for a while longer. We'll see what the new year brings.
ReplyDeleteskinstuffbykaty.blogspot.com
I never actually pulled the trigger and bought a subscription box until Sephora sent me an email about signing up for their Play box. So far I've loved it, but I have to physically make myself try and use the samples. I hope that you have a great time visiting family this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am going to try Ipsy for another year. I really enjoyed it last year (my first year). I think after 3 years, I may want to try something else. I love that they sent you an extra item for being with them since the beginning! At least you got that before you quit!

I've been wanting one of those FRENDs headphones for a while... so cool you got it in a subscription box!
ReplyDelete7% Solution
We got the same Ipsy products! I can see why you'd cancel. I do use most of the products I use, but there's always one or two that I never use and it's starting to add up after having Ipsy for two years!
ReplyDelete~Sara
My 21 yoa daughter is an Ipsy subscriber. Hope you have a fantastic Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think Ipsy would be a great subscription for people who want to be exposed to different brands without paying for full price items. I can see why you wouldn't want the subscription anymore, you are so knowledgeable without needing to try them!
ReplyDeleteI'm not into Star Wars either... you're not alone! :) I can understand why you wouldn't want to subscribe to Ipsy, since you already own and try so many beauty products. I think it would be a good fit for me since I'm always looking for fun new products to try!
ReplyDeleteJust a FYI. I decided to join the subscription bandwagon for the new year, after seeing all your great posts. I just tried to sign up for Ipsy and they put me on a waitlist. If I want to be taken off the waitlist there is a list of 4 social media things I must complete to be removed.
ReplyDeleteI felt that is kind of bogus. Especially after I just gave them all of my credit card information. I just emailed them to remove me from the list and not to charge my credit card. I will go with another subscription service.
Vee
That sucks about the polish in the ipsy bag. I hear ya about cancelling your subscription. You're already a beauty guru so you don't need it :p lol
ReplyDeleteI miss my FFF box. It looked like a really great box. I'd love that Dermalogica travel set as I just finished off my samples over this past trip :(
