My Hair Story

Think about the different hairstyles you've had over the years. Each one represents a different time in your life associated with so many memories. Today I'm sharing a few of those with you (slight cringe). It's time for a little trip down memory lane. Here are a few pics from my hair story:

I loved doing beauty pageants when I was little--I loved everything about it from trying on dresses, to sitting in my Grandmother's salon chair for hours, to getting my makeup done, and doing my best walk. It was so much fun. So many rollers were used...and baby's breath flowers in my hair!

Then we have a school pic. I thought it looked cool having my bangs permed and teased. Can you see how long my hair is? Here I am posing with my favorite doll. I was going to take this pic with a book, but everyone said that wasn't cool!

This is my senior picture for high school. After 15 years I cut my hair. It was SO long. and then I got a perm.

Back to the long hair--it would be down to my fingertips by the time I cut it. Here I am with my sister, my Grandmother, and me! I'm wearing glow in the dark jewelry and my outfit is sherbet orange.

Over the years I have colored, permed, highlighted, cut and teased my hair to high heavens. And some of these processes I have done myself--let's just say of all of the beauty stuff I'm good at, DIY highlights from peroxide is definitely a no. A few months ago I dyed it darker and got a little shorter.

To take take of my hair, I like having good, quality products to repair the damage of what ever I am putting my hair through so I can look my best. And that's why I use NEW Dove Regenerative Nourishment collection.  I'm a huge fan of products that really work for me and my budget.

After using the shampoo and conditioner (which smell SO good), I use the Dove Hair Serum-in-Oil. This makes my hair shiny and soft. Easy 1-2-3 hair routine!

And I know my hair can handle whatever I put it through next! I don't have to spend a lot to have my hair look great. Next time you are at Target, grab the new Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo, Conditioner and Serum in Oil. Your hair will thank you!

  18. I have my eyes on the Serum in Oil but must say I'm not the biggest fan of Dove shampoo and conditioner because of the overpowering scent.
