My mom is truly phenomenal. She has raised 4 kids, plus she takes care of her kids' spouses, her 4 grandbabies, and my step-dad. She taught me the value of being a hard worker and what unconditional love is.
But Mama never takes time for herself, at all. All her food, energy, time, and love go to us. You can't be at Barbie's house for more than 1 minute before she's offering you food or something to drink. She never sits down!!
So for this Mother's Day I'm giving her a Self-Spa day at home, including some of my fave products that I know she'll love.
I love homemade gifts, but since I can't cook (I believe I made her soup one year and it somehow had soap in it) spa gifts it is, my specialty. First, some bath bombs--I like to make my own for a personal touch, but these can be purchased anywhere. Next, some lotions and soaps for her--Mama calls these "smell goods." She loves stuff like that--I gave her perfume for her birthday, so I know she'll love them.
When I found this product, I knew it instantly had to be hers. It's the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry. Amopé™is Portuguese for “love my feet” by the way.
It's a rechargeable foot file that can be used wet or dry! It helps to soften feet by buffing rough, dry feet. No batteries are needed since it's rechargeable. This is a must in her house, since all of the batteries go to the toys of the grandkids. She can use it in the shower.
I'll finish the basket with flowers, a card, and some polishes in neutral shades to finish her pedi. She used to do nails, so polishes always make me think of her. I can't wait to see what she thinks!

I loved this Amope, that can be used in the shower - I like practical things and this is one of them, for sure! I will look for it, for sure! And the "smell goods" are also very nice, a personal touch, together with flowers, a card and nail polishes, she will love her present!

I love the idea of doing a "spa at home" kit for mother's day!! Great idea! My mom isn't one to go out and get massages or pedicures, but I bet she's love the stuff to do it at home. I already have this year's gift planned, but I'm keeping this in mind for next year!
