A Peek Into My Memorial Day

How was your Memorial Day? Mine is typically low-key and is a somber day for me. It's usually the day I'm returning home from my annual beach trip with my friends, something we've done for the past decade. I'm usually tired from the week-long trip and thinking of those that gave all. I tend to skip the cookouts since I'm driving back to Atlanta. Plus I'm busy once I get home--doing laundry/unpacking, etc. But this year, I instead was back from my trip to Cancun, so it was a different experience!

I started off the day cleaning the house and getting caught up on blog commenting. But it was such a beautiful day, so I closed the computer, slathered on sunscreen, grabbed my donut float (you saw this here), other essentials and started to head towards the pool. It was around 5pm--better late than never!

One quick glance at my feet proved that wasn't going to happen. I get really self-conscious of my feet. I had to do something and quick. I grabbed my Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry.

I'm a big fan of this nifty rechargeable device and have even given it as a gift, because it works, y'all! The one I have works wet or dry.

A little behind the scenes story: no, I didn't use this at the pool, I just thought it made a good background since it matched. But the day I was taking these pics, everyone at the pool came up to me asking about Amopé™and was curious what I was doing. #bloggerlife, right? It was a fun experience since my pics are usually taken inside.

But back to Memorial Day: I love the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry because it helps to soften feet by buffing rough, dry feet. Just a few minutes later, and I was back in action for the pool. Confidence in check! My neighbors were having a cook out by the pool and invited me. And I was not about to turn down free food! It was a nice relaxing time, and maybe the start of a new tradition!

  11. I get self conscious about my feet too, but usually I just slather then in Vaseline and call it a day. This sounds really cool though, there are a few similar devices from other brands but they all seem to get mixed reviews. Curious to try it though, thanks for sharing x
