For fall, what do you think about a matte lip? What about a nude matte lip? Y'all know I LOVE me some liquid lipsticks, but they can be SO drying, can take some time to apply, and can require a little bit of prep work. And I haven't even mentioned how crazy pricey some of them are. But I want y'all to try them!
I've got 5 liquid lipsticks from the drugstore (good for the budget) that aren't drying (or sticky--these have a demi-matte finish) and they're nude (easy to wear color, but all have other shades). Now the only question is which matte liquid lipstick should you try first?

NYX is by far my favorite! I have about 5 shades in that particular formula, and I love all of them. Great roundup!

I don't wear matte lipsticks all that often, but I really need to start! These are some great options at an even better price point. I'm all about the nude lip on most days, so I will need to check out the Maybelline Vivid Matte -- such a pretty color!

This is good to know - I've always loved matte lipsticks because I'm not a SHINY girl but I always hated that drying feeling. These are totally noted in my book.
ReplyDeleteI love the NYX soft matts and also their Liquid Suedes are my favourite as well, they last with drinking for about 3-5 hrs on me personally. My lips are on the dryer side so I just put a little vaseline on top just for a little more wear and hydration. I defiantly have to check out that Maybelline and Loreal ones I've heard great things about both of them.

The only one that I tried is NYX Soft Matte lip cream and recently read about L'Oreal Infalibble Pro Matte Gloss and have been thinking of purchasing a couple to try.

ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss formula and the shade Statement Nude, so I can't wait to pick up more colors from that line. I agree, they are not drying at all...but they also aren't super matte. I have yet to try the Essence line, definitely something to look forward too.

ReplyDeleteI didn't love the Maybelline liquid lips and I haven't tried the Essence ones, but I love the rest! The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty picks! I have the Maybelline and while it's gorgeous and makes for a comfortable wear, it's definitely not matte. I was kinda bummed about that.
