I'm getting in gear for the upcoming holidays, and I cannot wait!! But the holidays can get kind of stressful, right? I like to think of the holiday moments that make life beautiful instead.
I live about 5 hours away from my family, which isn't too far, but I don't get to see them as often as I'd like. When the holidays come around, I insist on creating lots of memories with them, especially with my nieces and nephews. Whether we are playing games, baking some holiday goodies, or patiently watching them show me their latest tricks, I treasure them.
Making Memories
Red Lips
It just isn't the holidays for me without my signature red lips. It's like instant glamour for me. It feels like the icing on the cake to a holiday look. When I'm around my family, I'm usually very casual--hair in a bun, sweatpants, and no makeup. But when the holidays come around, I want to really dress up and feel festive.
Holiday Nails
Another holiday moment is when I do my nails--I like to add a little sparkle. Some think nail art is tacky, but it seems to get a pass during the holidays. A gold glitter tree on an accent nail makes for a beautiful touch. And how fun and cute are these?
Holiday Hair
Earlier I mentioned my love for those holiday memories with family--did you know I have two sisters? I do. And once we all became adults, we became busy. It is really rare for me to be able to spend time as just the three of us without little ones around and responsibilities. But when we do around the holidays--it is always Beauty Shop time. We do each other's hair. It's so fun to see what we come up with for hairstyles and to be pampered too.
But having good hair begins with taking care of it. Take a look into my shower or my sisters’ shower, and you'll see Garnier® Whole Blends™. Garnier has 6 formulas with shampoo, conditioner, and treatments, so there's something for everyone. They're paraben-free and are made of recyclable PET plastic with 30% Post-Consumer Recycled waste. I wouldn't let my family use just anything, and I can feel good about the choice of Garnier® Whole Blends™ for them. I've found my blend: COLOR CARE with cranberry and Argan Oil Extracts. I color my roots, and this system protects color and reveals radiance. In addition to the shampoo and conditioner, there's a Color Care Mask that I adore.

ReplyDeleteChristmas is the only time out of the entire year that my immediate family and siblings get together therefore that one day, or few hours is what makes life beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI feel a little bad that a lot of my friends and family aren't hours away but still find it kind of hard to get together. So spending time with people I care about-- catching up with friends, hearing stories about my parents childhoods and learning their recipes-- make life beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy going outdoors to play with my nieces, nephews and cousins any chance we get to be together.
