Cheap Treats--Spring Awakening Edition: John Frieda Clear Shine Luminous Color Glaze

I'm starting a mini-series called Spring Awakening--that period of transition between the harsh winter and the gentler spring. Your skin and hair could use a little pick-me-up, and that's where I come in. Enjoy.

This week's Cheap Treat is perfect for that dull, lifeless, winter hair. You've seen it! Or even had it (maybe). Before you call your stylist, try a glaze. Around this time, I annually purchase the John Frieda Clear Shine Luminous Color Glaze for around $5-10. (I also use the Brilliant Brunette, but since most of you aren't brunette, I'm sharing this universal one.) Your hair is about to be saved!

So what does this miracle product do? If you want shiny, glossy, polished, and smooth hair, this is your product. It can be used daily (after shampooing/conditioning) and weekly on dry hair. It really, really works.

What products get you into spring?

PS: THANK YOU for following me. I'm at 600 followers. WOW!

Gentle Reminder: I'm doing a Reader Request Week next month. I'd love your input on what you specifically you'd like to see that week. Let me know, below.

  16. I've always wondered how good those store bought glazes work. I think any new lip gloss or shade of eyeshadow definately gets me in the spring mood!

  18. That sounds lovely! I used to use the JF Blonde shampoo and conditioner, but moved on to another brand because I can never stick with just one company for too long ;) I'll have to keep an eye out for this product though!

  29. I haven't ever tried a glaze before, but it sounds like a good idea. I don't usually change my hair products seasonally (I am a creature of habit), but now I am wondering if I should:)

  37. 600 followers! Awesome! I need to try this product for sure! Do you know how to do a really good ponytail, one that's not severe, but has that nice bit of volume at the front? Oh and a good 5 minute face type thing? I'm such a beauty challenged gal ;o). Oh, and YES the pollen is insane, my car is coated and when it rains ( those storms that have been popping up lately) the pollen literally puddles up and dries in these big yellow heaps! Insane...
