When it comes to women and their hair, there's one bad word we don't wanna hear: The D-Word. I'm talking about Dandruff. And when I was sent by Suave this in the mail, I immediately got self-conscious and heavily analyzed every pic of myself on this blog. Were they seeing something I wasn't? No, but...
While I don't suffer from dandruff, I do get the occasional dry scalp or product buildup in my hair. And for some reason, most clarifying shampoos make me itchy, so those were avoided. I decided to give the Suave Solution Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner a try. I'm glad I did!
Dandruff shampoo immediately brings to mind that blue stuff that smells chemical. But the Suave shampoo comes in three scents: Ocean Minerals & Aloe Vera, Revitalizing Mint & Eucalyptus, and Nourishing Coconut & Shea Butter. I was sent the coconut. If you know me at all, you know I pretty much love anything coconut-scented, so I had to try this on smell alone.
How did it work?
It smells great and removed all product build up. It sells for around $3, so that's a great deal as well. I'd recommend it, but will update this after I let someone else try it. Here's how my hair looked after using it (whilst working the bathroom mirror with the ole phone camera):
Request 1: post more pics of myself...so here's 3. Ugh.
Request 2: post a pic of my hair straightened...enjoy, as I'm cutting it next week!
Oh I don't have dandruff problems
ReplyDeletebut falling hair is kinda worrying me.
I think I'll try that though to avoid dry scalp.

ReplyDeleteYour hair looks awesome! This is a great product review. I saw a commercial for this recently, and it seems companies are getting a lot more creative with their anti-dandruff shampoos.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is looking amazing. I usually like Suave products ... but I too haven't had a D-problem except for the build up. Will definitely try it after your review.

My scalp gets dried out occasionally too because of blow drying. So I am trying to stay away from the blow dryer more often. I need something to use occasionally though. Going to tomorrow to pick up some new conditioner and shampoo so I will pick up the Sauve too to give it a try.

You have such pretty hair! I often hear that suave is as good as many more expensive designer brands. Lately I've been using Ouidad and I've been really happy with it.
