Cheap Treats: Rimmel's Kate Lipstick Collection

Do you wear lipstick? Does it intimidate you? Make you think of old ladies (kidding)? 

No more worries! I've got just the thing for you: Rimmel's Kate Lipstick Collection. And they're only $5! Kate's line has 7 colors, of which I own four. I was first introduced to these via a blog swap, with a UK blogger. She sent me the nude color, and I was smitten. I patiently waited until the line came to the US and quickly grabbed a few. Via Rimmel's site: Amazing alluring shades developed by Kate for Rimmel. Black Diamond brings incredible new levels of light reflective elements.

Why do these earn the Elle Sees' Cheap Treats Stamp of Approval? Excellent price, great pigmentation, long-lasting for the price and the collection includes the necessary, basic shades every girl needs in her bag:

• Nude--Wear this with a smokey eye. Or add with a gloss on top--this is a great way to use up those glosses that are really sheer. I've even used it as an eye shadow base in a pinch!
• Pink--There's a bright fuschia and a pinky pink in the collection, but I chose the dusty rose (that sounds like the color of a pageant dress I wore in the 80s) for my skin tone. It's a great natural-looking pink. I recommend this color for those that are upgrading from chapstick/makeup beginners!
• Coral--This shade is hard to find because it looks great on everyone and is perfect for summer months. If it's too bright for you, mix with the nude shade to pare it down.
• Red--I've never, ever found a red that looked flattering on me until this shade. I'm tempted to buy a huge stash of them. Pair this with some curled lashes, and you're all set.
