DIY Lemonade Mint Sugar Scrub--5 Uses!

mint lemonade scrub uses diy recipe
For my 4th of July party (here's what I wore), I served hot dogs, ice cream, and had a diy lemonade bar. After a night of fun and fireworks, and keeping with the lemon theme, I sent guests home with my DIY Lemonade Mint Scrub. I was convinced I had shared it on here before,  but hadn't, so I'm sharing it today. It's an easy diy (the best kind) but it's also versatile and makes a great gift. Your skin will be soft and glowing.

You'll Need:
  • sealable container + utensil for stirring/mixing
  • 2 c sugar
  • 5 drops lemon essential oil
  • 5 drops mint essential oil
  • 2/3 c coconut oil or oil of your choice
  • optional: yellow soap colorant or food coloring

scrubs for glowing skin
To Make:
Place all ingredients into container and mix together. Adjust amounts to desired consistency and scent. This takes about 5 minutes to make and keeps for months.

Tip: I like to melt my coconut oil to make it easier to work with.

5 uses for lemonade mint scrub:

1: Sugar scrub--to exfoliate arms and legs (love this before shaving)
Try using raw sugar for this, as pictured.

2: Lip scrub--you can use real lemon juice and peppermint oil if desired. I like using white sugar for this one. If you use fresh lemons, I wouldn't keep the recipe longer than a couple of weeks. This is a dupe for the Philosophy one that sells for $15!!

3: Hand scrub--this not only keeps hands soft, but is the best for removing kitchen cooking odors from hands.

4: Foot scrub--It's pedi time at home with this lovely scented scrub that also feels cooling. Try salt instead of sugar for a heartier scrub.

5: Lemonade sugar scrub cubes--These require a couple of extra ingredients but transform the original recipe into one that is solid. These look like lemon bars!
