June Chat: It Cosmetics Giveaway, SBS Con, Summer Trips, #JALS Update & More

Hey you! Happy Friday and happy 4th of July weekend! I actually thought yesterday was Friday, so if my blogging comments sounded odd, that's why. But anyway, June flew by and I have been so busy that I thought I'd get everyone caught up on life. Let me know how your June was and check out my video below:

#JALS June Update

• So how was my June? BUSY. I've been gone every weekend for the past couple of months and am super behind on life, so I totally failed on my Just a Little Something (#JALS) challenge, which was to declutter. So for July, I'm continuing that goal. Did you choose a #JALS goal for June? What about July?

My Charleston SBS Con Outfits. Thanks EverydayRunway (my friend Parker) for her outfit ideas and for Talbots for the pretty dress! Of course my faithful sidekick Charlie was there.

Summer Trips

• I had the opportunity to go to the beach for a girls' weekend so I just *had* to go. I'll post more on that later, but I shared a little on Instagram. It was a nice break from life and I was there on Fathers' Day, a day I was dreading since it was the first without my Daddy. I made a video about it here. I even avoided social media at first, but remembered it's a day to celebrate, and thanks to YOU, I felt much better by the end of the day.
• Last weekend I went to Charleston for the Southern Blog Society conference! I am super shy and I have severe social anxiety, but I really pushed myself to talk to people! I took Charlie with me and we had the best time. As pictured below, he slept most of time!

• In addition to helpful sessions from different brands (like using affiliates to make $, photography tips, tax tips, etc) I got to network with brands and get some awesome swag. You'll have to check out the video to see what I got! #shameless plug I did get a bunch of stuff from IT COSMETICS--did you see this post? • I tend to stick to the same places to eat near my house. But yesterday I ate at George's in Virginia Highland (Atlanta) and had an amazing burger. It looks like a bar but is a kid-friendly.
